Hello to everyone in this community and fellow sewing enthusiasts! Recently, my older brother asked me to make him a plushie of one of his favorite characters. I couldn't refuse his request, since I love making plushies and I was intrigued to see if I could fulfill his unusual request.

The character I had to create is called "Knuckles Uganda" and is inspired by the character Knuckles from the "Sonic the Hedgehog" universe. This version of the character was created by a YouTuber, and later, his avatar started being used by other people as it became popular. My brother loves random things like this, haha, so I thought the commission was fun.

To make it, the first step was to sketch it on paper. The plushie would be small, so the size worked for the scraps of red fabric I had. Once I had the sketch, I traced it onto the fabric and cut out the pieces: body and head. In addition, I cut out felt pieces for the eyes, mouth, gloves, and some details for the shoes.

When it came to sewing, I started by attaching what would be the character's belly detail, using a zigzag stitch. Then, I proceeded to join the head and body pieces, leaving an opening so I could turn them right side out.

Once I turned both pieces right side out, I cut a couple of small triangle-shaped pieces to make the tail, which I sewed to the back of the body piece with a hand stitch. At this point, I stuffed the plushie with fabric scraps that I had previously cut.

In this way, I started working on the details of the head, such as sewing the fringes of the "hair" with thread, and for the mouth and eyes, I glued them onto the face with liquid silicone.

In the case of the gloves, I first sewed the pieces together by hand, and when placing them on the arms, I added a drop of liquid silicone and tied them with thread at the wrist area.

To attach the head to the body, I used liquid silicone in the center and reinforced it with a hand stitch around it.

Now it was time to work on the shoes. The main piece was made from the same fabric as the plush toy, but for the rest of the details, I used felt, glued on with liquid silicone and reinforced with hand stitching. My favorite detail is the small pieces on the character's shoes, which I came up with by sewing on tiny beads.

And so, the plushie was finished! ✨ When I gave it to my brother, he was very happy, and some friends I showed it to also really liked the result. I found this commission quite fun, and I hope to receive more interesting plushie commissions soon! ⭐️

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de la costura! Hace poco, mi hermano mayor me pidió que le realizase un peluche de uno de sus personajes favoritos. No pude negarme a su petición, ya que me encanta hacer peluches y me intrigaba ver si podía realizar su curiosa petición.

El personaje que debía realizar recibe el nombre de "Knuckles Uganda" y está inspirado en el personaje Knuckles del universo de "Sonic, el erizo". Esta versión del personaje fue creada por un Youtuber y posteriormente, su avatar comenzó a ser usado por otras personas al volverse popular. A mi hermano le encantan las cosas randoms como estas jaja por lo que me pareció divertido el encargo.

Para hacerlo, lo primero fue realizar el boceto en papel. El peluche sería pequeño, así que el tamaño me funcionaba para los retazos de tela roja que tenía. Una vez que tuve el boceto, marqué el mismo en la tela y corté las piezas: Cuerpo y cabeza. Adicional a ello, corté en fieltro lo que serían los ojos, la boca, los guantes y unos detalles de los zapatos.

A la hora de coser, comencé pegando lo que sería el detalle de la barriga del personaje, utilizando una costura en zigzag. Luego, procedí a unir las piezas de la cabeza y del cuerpo, dejando una abertura para poder voltearlas.

Una vez que volteé ambas piezas, corté un par de trocitos con forma de triángulo para hacer la cola, la cual, cosí en la zona trasera de la pieza del cuerpo con una costura a mano. En esta parte, pude rellenar el peluche y lo hice con picadillo de tela que corté previamente.

De esa forma, me puse a trabajar en los detalles de la cabeza, como coser los flecos del "cabello" con hilo y para la la boca y los ojos, pegué los mismos en el rostro con silicón líquido.

En el caso de los guantes, primero cosí las piezas con una costura a mano y al colocarlo en los brazos, le puse una gota de silicón líquido y até con el hilo en la zona de la muñeca.

Para adherir la cabeza al cuerpo, utilicé silicón líquido en el centro y reforcé con una costura a mano alrededor.

Ahora, era momento de trabajar en los zapatos. La pieza principal, fue de la misma tela del peluche, pero para el resto de los detalles, utilicé fieltro, pegado con silicón líquido y reforzado con costura a mano. Mi detalle favorito, son unas piezas pequeñas que tiene el personaje en sus zapatos y que se me ocurrió hacerlas cosiendo unas pequeñas mostacillas.

Así, el peluche estuvo terminado ✨ Cuando se lo entregué a mi hermano, quedó muy contento, aparte que algunos amigos a quienes se los mostré, les gustó bastante el resultado. A mí, me pareció bastante divertida este encargo y espero que lleguen más comisiones interesantes de peluches pronto ⭐️
