This very topic from #hiveleaners for edition 02 of this week is a very crucial issue, despite many of us might see it as just being directed to prisoners who are inmates and due not pay 💰 taxes, unlike we the ordinary citizens who keep struggling through the weeks and into the months, and at the end have to still pay taxes to the government without receiving any care from them.
The question should be, is there free - healthcare for the citizens of a nation who labor without any help from the government and still have to pay tax from their meager salaries and incomes. We are the tax payers , meaning our money 💰 is being used by the government to fund most of the establishments and corporations. And yet, there is no free healthcare for us, talk-less of the prisoners.
We know as humans, we have the belief that a criminal should not be treated as a human being due to how they are very hardened, by committing various kinds of crimes. Rape, murder, stealing of all kinds, putting many in situations of all kinds too, but we also believe that there should always be forgiveness. Not that they should just be forgiven ordinarily without punishment, but that they should serve jail terms , get rehabilitation and move on in life , for as many who have remorse.
Healthcare is not something to be joked with, especially for the prisoners who has no access to live normal lifestyle. I mean, they are kept in jail, which practically seemed like a cage. This is another mental health for most of them, so they need healthcare from the government without any argument, as many of them took ill from time to time. Despite that they are not paying tax, you can not allow them to be in any danger while serving their jail terms.
We know that criminals are bad people who committed one crime or the other, but we should also know that many of them are pushed into these crimes because of how the government are not supporting the citizens. Yes! Many who committed these crimes are lured into them because of hardship and have no support. Its not every individual that has the energy to keep going in a very bad economy. So this is one reason the inmates has to be forgiving in cases of being jailed. Some too might be innocent
If you look at the data of most countries that provides support for their citizens, you will see how crime rate is almost zero. A country like Sweden 🇸🇪 is one among others, where citizens are paid for to go to school 🏫. And youths has access for obtaining loan 💵 to develop what ever project possible. Although, we can say Sweden 🇸🇪 is among the country with low population, but this is why the citizens depends fully on their government to always make right decisions that will favor everyone. So the government are to be blamed in issues of criminality.
However, healthcare should be a priority in every country for citizens regardless of tax payee and those who don’t pay 💰 tax because of inability or incapability. In this regard, I think there is no reason to deny healthcare to the prisoners because they are being confined in a space where they can do things on their own.
