Monochrome Monday a few recent Mono edits, and a question
Good morning. I hope you had a good weekend, but what constitutes a good weekend varies, of course; what is a good weekend for you: some relaxing, time with family, or being productive.
For me, this past weekend was all about staying dry during a storm we had and taking it easy, something I perhaps do too much these days.
As usual, I am starting the week with a few Mono edits I have recently done.
This is one of the docks here in New Bedford. The commercial boats in this photo I have seen often, but generally haven't had a good viewpoint of them. On my last visit to the Popes Island area, I walked over this way and saw this view.
The buildings inthe background are, I believe, the Crystal Ice building; logically, it's near the port, as a high percentage of the ice they make is used by the fishing fleet.

This next one is taken on the top level of the Elm Street Parking garage in New Bedford. Someone asked me to get photos of this building, which they worked in decades ago; it was, and maybe still is, a telecommunications building at one stage, the New England Telecom company, I believe.

And this is the Fishing Heritage Building and Museum, one I must visit sometime. I have shared another photo of it from another walk previously in color, but for this photo I felt Black and white worked better

Next up is the Fishermen’s Tribute Monument located in the Port of New Bedford, Massachusetts.
It was created by local artist Erik Durant and dedicated on June 30, 2016.
The bronze installation honors the hardworking fishermen and fishing families of New Bedford.

Now, in the title, I mentioned a question, and here it is: I went for a B&W edit as I felt it brought more focus on the Sculpture and perhaps made it more powerful; however, there was a nice sunrise that morning and I felt it was almost a shame to take away the colors.
I was on the fence, but as I wrote this, I know which one I prefer. What do you think?
