Tuesday - Morning colors

Morning colors

Good morning. I hope your week has started well. Today I will share a few early morning photos from recent walks I have taken in or fairly close to New Bedford, MA where I live. Now I often take photos near this spot, normally on the other side of the boat in the foreground on the left with the green awning on it, but this time I stopped a bit early and decided to take a shot looking over this walkway down to the pier.

This next one is on the Mattapoisett Rail Trail, a short, maybe 25-minute drive from where I live, but well worth it for the nice walkway there. Well, I say on the trail, but as I often do when I walk there, I come down off the trail onto the beach. The trail is on top of that raised bit off to the left of this photo

And another spot I love to visit on Pope's Island, well, at this stage I am between two islands, Fish Island and Pope's Island, on the old swing Truss bridge, which often has technical issues, so locals seem to either love or hate it.

Perhaps, as being retired and when I go this way I am never in a rush, but I love the bridge for photos.

And this is over that Bridge; there is Fleet Marina, I like walking to this point on the docks there and there's something about this view I find pleasing

This is the Cove Walk in New Bedford, one of two walkways built on the Hurricane walls here. The wall protects the city to a degree if a Hurricane comes in, but all year round, with the walkways built on top, it gives people a nice place to take a walk.

And another spot I often visit, at one end of the Other Walk on top of a Hurricane barrier wall. Now, most spots I go for early morning walks I am the only one there for most of the time; this spot, well, and the port are the exceptions. Just about every time I go here, there are a few cars that arrive, and most sit in their cars and enjoy the start of a new day.

And speaking of the port, caught a nice sunrise the morning I took this next one

I really love the first photo and the one with Rebecca Ann Naomi. I was trying to get some light painting shots this past weekend from car tail lights, but I wasn't quite able to manage it.
