Happy weekend, everyone! I usually work on weekends, especially with my personal classes, because the majority of my students are available only on the weekends. Yesterday, I worked for around 6 hours during the day. My last class ended at around 4:30 PM, and only a few minutes later, my high school bestie *(from my first high school)* messaged me.
First, she complained about how difficult it is to find my name on Messenger because I changed it to Japanese. *hahahaha* Then, she invited my family and me to dinner at their place. It's our area's fiesta, and she and her family are celebrating and wanted us to join.
Then, the socially awkward me was in two minds, as expected. It was raining at that time, so I told her that if the rain ended, I'd go with my father. Mama would have to stay for our furbabies. She agreed because she was so confident it'd let up and told me, *"See you later!"*
And the rain did let up, so I took a shower and got ready to go after eating a bit at home with Mama.
The sky was so calm, and the moon was so bright. And as a selenophile, I couldn't stop myself from documenting this beautiful moon. My father and I walked to their place. It's just around 15 minutes away on foot... and on our way there, I kept commenting on how beautiful the moon was.
This is the chapel in our area that's being celebrated. My father already went during the day, so I dropped by to offer my prayers and light some candles. There were quite a lot of people, but the Mass was held about an hour before we arrived.
The road was so congested that my father and I decided to take a detour inside the activity area to avoid it, even for a bit. My bestie's house is only a few blocks away from the activity area.
It was still pretty early when we went there, but there were a lot of people already. There were inflatables, festival games, food, toys, and so on. The stage was also ready for the night activity. The chaos won't start until around 10 PM, so we had to go home before then. Just this noise and the number of people already made me dizzy and socially anxious. hahahah
When we arrived at my HS bestie's place, we ate and caught up. Her parents were there, too, and it was nice to see them again after so many years. My mom and her mom were good friends, so Auntie told me that they're going to visit our place someday so she can reunite with my mom, too.
We just talked and ate... and these fur babies were being super sweet. Their doggy stayed in front of us most of the time, stealing glances. He's so cute... then their cat rubbed its body against my legs. It was super adorable. T_T Sadly, I can't cuddle with cats because they may trigger my asthma, but that body rub against my leg was so precious. It was the first time meeting, and it somehow chose me. Waaaa... T_T
There was a lot of delicious food to share. She ordered it somewhere, and it's actually pretty good. She used to prepare food by herself, but it was tough and would only make her tired, so they chose the practical way. Now, she could enjoy the celebration without worrying about cooking. hahaha
Papa and I decided to head home at around 9 PM to avoid the crowd, so my HS bestie sent us some food home for mom, too. When we arrived home, Arashi kept sniffing my leg, probably because of the cat smell. LOL
I could hear the crowd cheer and loud music from my room even though our house is 10 minutes away on foot from the venue. The loud music continued until around 4 AM. There was a program and a disco last night. Good thing we weren't caught in the crowd and were able to go home before the chaos started.
Despite that, I felt socially drained, so I won't be getting out for a while. hahaha That's it for our adventure last night. Thanks for reading and see you around! (^^,)/
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
