Being in the remote cabin for three weeks has been great but today was the final day before returning back to our regular home.
We headed to Wessach falls for a nice nature walk.
Then headed up to the lava bed park to show my son.
That's him at the falls.
Now I've already taken pictures of the lava bed park but this time I'll show you something different.
That's the old time sign for Canyon city which was from a long time ago when there was a native village without a road and it was tough to get to.
But the name? That was a Western name and it now goes by its actual name which is visible from a current road.
I'm torn. I believe native names should be respected but with a name like that... I think Canyon city is a lot easier to pronounce.
Side note.
I think my furry son is going to miss the wilderness and wide open spaces to run in.
