HBD has a 20% APR Again! - Bringing External Money into Hive - First Small Business Loan to a Hive-Born Enterprise in Nigeria! (Powered by Distriator)

We're proud to announce that we're about to issue our first small business loan to a Hive-born business in Nigeria. The business was built entirely from Hive rewards and is now generating well over 1,000 HBD in monthly turnover.

The business name is "Happy Customer Supermarket" run by @fokusnow

Here's a snapshot of their revenues:

This milestone is made possible through a collaboration between Distriator Loans (@distriator.loans), EC BIT (https://www.ecbit.mx/), and Eco-Bank (@ecobanker), who are working together to collateralize and issue the loan.

Loan Details:

Annual Percentage Rate (APR): 20%
Funds will be used to purchase high-demand inventory to support the business's rapid growth.
The HBD loan with EC BIT is overcollateralized with Bitcoin and transparent.
Both Eco Bank and Distriator Loans (the other crediting parties) have not given collateralised loans, however, interest rates have been set based on clear, and continually growing revenues from the business as shown on the Distriator.com platform.
The loan is to be paid back monthly with on-chain revenue streams tracked in real time.

The business has seen incredible growth thanks to its unique model: it offers instant cashback of 10–40% to customers using HBD (Hive Dollars) via Distriator.com, creating a virtuous cycle where users save and businesses thrive.

Why This Matters

This is a real-world example of how cryptocurrency can be distributed responsibly, not through airdrops or speculation but via commerce-based lending to profitable, transparent, and growing businesses.

This method also returns a higher APR (20%) than the HBD onchain base rate of 15%, and so as the system grows, can present a way to obtain higher yeild on HBD in future to HBD holders.

This is so amazing, giving out loan by @thedistriator is a prouf that this project is for a long term. So many person's have been asking me how long is the spendhbd project and the cashback is gonna stay. And my response to them is, "as long as the crypto world is still existing." Oh yes, I have full confidence in this project and coming to talk about the loan, I'm gonna speak about it in my upcoming workshop.

This will make more business and individual to have full confidence on the spendhbd project.

Yesterday, while discussing with the CEO of @eastern-beauty boutique and cosmetics, I told him about this loan for him to know that this spendhbd project is not something that will soon vanish from the surface of the earth if Christ delay in coming.

Thank you so much for the loan. We are already planning the next restocking of Happy Customer Supermarket to have enough inventory for shoppers.
