Poetry And Rambling

image.png

these words of longing ,our time lost timeless wandering, taking charge , beyond all reason, falling far beneath the surface, our loss so large.

secret doorways, mystery awaits, fear in waiting, we hesitate fire dissolves, as all erupts around us, taking control, spirits broken.

To disappear, make haste from these wounds, crossroads await, broken glass, disfigured face. Hidden memories, bubble up, from beyond, to arise from our slumber, to fade leaving no trace.

Sometimes I wonder, if indeed the only way through, is to just go mad. To surrender to the lunacy that awaits us around every corner. But then, I take a breath and remember that I have a choice. I can indeed disappear into nature for a while, disconnect fro the beast so to say. Because it's bloody draining, witnessing all of this, seeing people drown in their own self righteousness. Screaming to be seen, latching onto whatever label, shines a light on them, on their plea. Oh this disconnect, how it burns away at the soul, how it eats away at our creativity, our authenticity. It's the real enemy. And still, still people don't seem to join the dots.

Doing everything, except really seeing what is going on. So much distraction, deflection, anything but face the reality of the price they have had to pay. That we all have to pay, when we turn away from nature. Losing ourselves in artificial sights and sounds. Until we end up fearing, what is the real medicine in our world. It's just so feckin crazy. So I will keep writing about it, because at the end of the day it helps to keep me sane.

The craziness is one of the big reasons that I've chosen just to stay in the jungle...lol! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Phillip K. Dick - I'm going back to older phisosophy and even older than the 90s when we saw and experience the last round of "This world is too much with us - Wordsworth

    *sigh

When will we ever learn? That 60s / 70s song

Nature is some of the best medicine there is. Nice to see you out and about <3

Really, I find myself in these shoes sometimes and just want to change who I am, but then again, I have a rethink and just decides to disappear for a while, it's really beautiful because you get to experience nature and quiet peace that surrounds it.

I love your poem. You're so great at it, straight from the heart and soul. I envy you because whenever I even tried to write one, it'd sound more like a kid's poem, asking Santa for presents hahaha. To each their own I guess!

But so true. People are so lost these days. Even my eldest daughter, now almost 24 years old, tells me she's happy she grew up without a phone because I didn't give in until she really needed one as she was going to secondary school miles away... If I could have, I would have kept it from her even then, but I felt she was safer with one, and I was right. (she missed the bus a few times and a dangerous road to walk for 12 kilometers). But she still had a youth without technology and is grateful for it. Spent hours outdoors just doing her thing. The others had the same, as they were at home and didn't go to school, so there was no outside influence until much later.

I'm lucky. All my kids still enjoy being in nature and will drop that phone in an instant for a day at the beach.

Much love to you and your kids. May 2026 bring you much joy and laughter. xxxx
