The Wolf With The Flaming Spear - Black Myth: Wukong.

Leaving the Wandering Wight behind, I fought Guangzhi, a fast wolf wielding a flaming spear who defeated the Destined One quickly. Returning to the Wandering Wight with new defense gear, I experimented with heavy attacks and strategic retreats, then discovered a tunnel to use as cover.

Moving away from the Wandering Wight, I decided to test my luck against a different boss operating in the forest. The opponent was named Guangzhi, and from a distance, he resembled a giant tiger.

I took my opening and cast a stun right as the fight started, but closing the distance revealed he was actually a massive, well-trained wolf warrior. He moved with incredible speed, wielding a long spear coated in fire.

Before I could adapt to his range and fiery strikes, he overwhelmed me and took me down in no time. Standing over my fallen body, he remarked that the Destined One only looked like Wukong.

Respawning back near the shrine, I made sure to save my health on the walk back, avoiding unnecessary damage from minor enemies.

The Wandering Wight became my primary target once again, and I wanted to test a new strategy. Instead of leading with a stun, I opened the fight with a heavy attack.

Following up with a stun and another heavy hit rather than standard light combos. The risky approach backfired, and the boss knocked me out even faster than before.

I went back and tried even harder but it looked like it doesn't matter how harder I was trying, I was not just enough to beat him up.

Before trying again, I went into my inventory and equipped a new mask to boost the Destined One's defense stats.

Knowing I would likely take more hits while learning the boss's attack patterns, I used the extra defense to buy time during the next attempt. When my stun ability came back, I used it immediately, but realized standard hits still weren't dealing enough damage.

Changing tactics, I dropped back and kept running in wide circles around the arena, deliberately stalling for time until my stun ability could fully regenerate. While dodging his sweeps, I backed into a narrow tunnel tucked right behind the boss area.

The Wight tried using a special range attack to blast me inside, but the stone walls blocked most of the impact, revealing a useful cover spot to heal and reset during future attempts. But I was then taken down with a firepower from the boss.

Guangzhi defeating the Destined One so quickly was a nice surprise. It showed that every boss can be dangerous, even when you feel ready after defeating other enemies.

  • I liked how you kept trying different ways to beat the Wandering Wight. Heavy attacks did not work, so changing your plan and using the tunnel was a smart.

Guangzhi looked like a giant tiger from a distance, then suddenly turned out to be a massive wolf with a flaming spear, which was definitely not the surprise I would've wanted. Great captures 💪
