Netflix raised prices by 2 euros in Austria (October 2026)

Viki Secrets@vikisecrets (80)2d

Netflix raised the subscription prices in Austria (September/October 2026)

English

Netflix has raised the prices for its subscriptions in Austria again, this time by 2 euros across all subscription tiers.

The Standard plan now costs 15.99 per month instead of the previous 13.99, which is a price increase of about 14%, quite a significant hike. In 2024, the Standard plan still cost 12.99 per month.

The Basic plan is now 10.99 for the first time—over 10 euros a month—and the Premium plan now costs 21.99.

My Standard plan will be increased on October 31. I’m thinking about whether I should downgrade to a Basic plan now.

What do you think about the price increase? Are you affected by it too? What streaming subscriptions do you currently have?

I have not bought Netflix recently. I don't have any streaming subscriptions right now, and I don't like how they keep increasing prices. I'd rather wait till I have time and a large enough backlog to get the most of my money for that month or two.

No wonder why my Netflix subscription increased too. Planning to cut it off since I don't frequently use it anymore
