Was sagt ihr dazu?
English
A lot has been happening at 3speak lately, as a result, hive is becoming a video platform for decentralized, censorship-resistant videos, and it now supports Shorts as well.
Until now, videos have always been a problem on hive, they were difficult to embed, had a very slow player, and took a long time to load.
Just developing a good video player was a major challenge.
That’s changing now in the age of AI coding.
However, the challenges that remain are operating the hosting infrastructure and the computing power required for videos and financing them.
That’s why 3speak recently launched an advertising program. Short text banners or promotional videos are now integrated into videos. What makes this special is that viewers also get a share of the revenue. Currently, 50% goes to the creator, 10% to the viewers, and 40% to the platform. I think that’s fair.
However, to really make money as a creator with videos, you need reach, and ultimately, direct sponsorship deals, similar to how it works on YouTube. It’s a pretty tough business, since you depend not only on companies but also on YouTube and its algorithm. Not so on 3speak.
In the next @cyberspace77 update, there will therefore be a focus on videos, and support for 3speak will be expanded.
And one more important reminder: The official URL for 3speak is 3speak.tv, NOT 3speak.co. I almost mixed up the websites during implementation. The latter is a scam site.
What do you think? Have you tried the new 3speak site or Shorts yet? Have you enabled or disabled ads? How much are you earning from it?
