Blooms That Heal: How My Favorite Flowers Lifted My Spirit and Touched a Neighbor

According to Google, flowers improve our mental health, reduce stress, and strengthen social bonds by triggering feel-good brain chemicals like dopamine and serotonin.

Hello Hive Gardeners, and happy gardening day to everyone! ๐ŸŒฟ

This morning, while I was writing this blog, I felt a bit lonely. My daughter went to school despite the bad weather, and my husband went to his aunt's funeral. I woke up alone, ate breakfast alone, and will be spending the whole day alone. Even my cats left me ๐Ÿ˜. After I fed them, they went chasing each other in the backyard, and now, I can't find them. ๐Ÿ˜‚

So, I went to the place that makes me smile and forget the time: my garden. ๐ŸŒธ ๐ŸŒน

My orchids look so pretty and healthy. Seeing them bloom beautifully every day gives me great satisfaction.

I read a study that a simple moment like seeing pretty roses or receiving a bouquet of lovely flowers can improve a person's emotional health. The mere presence of flowers can activate happy emotions. It also increases the feeling of life satisfaction.

So instead of keeping these pretty happy pills of mine, here are a few photos of my orchids in bloom to give you a dose of happiness you need for today.

If you still don't have one, maybe this is your sign to get one.

Nature has a healing power.

While I was taking photos of these lovely orchids, a neighbor passed by and said, "Those flowers are so pretty. I can't help but look at them every morning I pass by your house". I smiled and thanked her. "My day won't be complete if I can't see those flowers", she added and laughed. So, I offered to give her some so she could plant them. She was so happy, and I was happier. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Well, I forgot about the time, and I'm no longer lonely. ๐Ÿ˜ Then, I made some happy today. It's only midday, but I feel so productive.

If you're ever feeling down, just visit my garden posts. Check the flowers I shared. I posted my gorgeous roses, my colorful hibiscus, and my lovely orchids. I hope that these flower photos I share could help you feel better. ๐ŸŒธ

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post.

I hope you all are having a great day.

You and your neighbor aren't the only ones. I have this habit of scrolling and staring at flower posts or sometimes the moon or the stars until I feel sleepy every night. So therapeutic, Reign.
