Deirdre Heddon: “Walking is a technique of solitude, a way into reverie. The walker is not a sleepwalker but a daydreamer.”

Good day, Hivers!!
We are halfway through the week; I hope for wellness and greatness for you all.
Let me share a short, peaceful walk I had.
After visiting my sister and my nieces, my husband and I decided to walk home. On our way, we passed by the old museum and the Capitol. We walked around the open area, trying to pass the time. Then, into the empty streets behind the Capitol building.
👇 Look at the cloud in this photo; to me, it looks like a dinosaur 🦖 trying to take a bit of the sun 😁.
🪶 It was quiet. I heard a few children giggling from afar, but other than that, it was peaceful.
It was a warm afternoon. The sky was partially clear.
Sometimes, lots of people jog or walk here. This time, it looks like we were the first.
Here's a lush ixora or santan in front of the Capitol building. The flowers look so vibrant against the dull building.
At the tourism building, everything was also quiet. I saw a few motorists pass by, but no one was walking nor jogging.
Most of the vehicles were on the main road. But even the main road was almost empty.
I love walking here because it's peaceful and quiet. Although it is not always like this. There are times when lots of children play with their bikes and scooters. People also have picnics here. You could see people walking their dogs or jogging with their family.
Whatever the reason was, I love it like this. Peaceful and quiet.
Before the sun went down, we left and headed back home. You know, I have work in the evening, so I need to rest for a while, then start grinding.
Anyway, that's all for my simple afternoon walk.
have a wonderful day ☀️
