Hola comunidad de Street Art, hoy quiero compartirles este bonito hallazgo en una de las calles de mi ciudad, La Paz. Me pareció muy alegre y hasta parecía estar en movimiento, porque estaba acompañado de música.
Me encantó la experiencia, ahí les muestro el mural:

Este mural está en la pared exterior de un restaurante, por eso creo que también fue ideal lo que hizo el artista para darle un toque que acompañara el ambiente del lugar.
Podemos apreciar a dos calaveras bailando felices y sosteniendo copas de vino o alguna bebida espirituosa jeje. Me encanta el nivel de detalle que tienen las facciones de los esqueletos para que parezca que están disfrutando mucho.
Por otro lado, podemos ver dos objetos importantes: un corazón y un estetoscopio en el centro. Pareciera que están tentando a la muerte o, quizá, simplemente están disfrutando de haber muerto jeje. Es un poco complicado saber el significado real.
Pero también vemos una botella grande de alguna bebida alcohólica que dice “Turno nocturno”, tal parece que ese restaurante abre sólo por las noches. Además, hay tres frascos de vidrios con un contenido colorido que parece ser alguna bebida.
Tiene muchos elementos interesantes, posiblemente podríamos entender mejor si viéramos lo que ofrece este restaurante, pero en general me parece que acompaña muy bien y da una idea de lo que ocurre en ese lugar jeje.
El día que pasé, recuerdo que había un DJ y mucha gente bailando, por eso les contaba que la imagen parecía necesitar estar acompañada de música para imaginar mejor el baile de los esqueletos. Bueno espero les haya gustado y me gustaría saber si ustedes hallaron otra interpretación a este bonito mural.

Street Art Contest #315: Mural of the Dancing Skeletons
Hello, Street Art community! Today I want to share this beautiful discovery with you on one of the streets in my city, La Paz. I found it very cheerful—it even seemed to be moving because it was accompanied by music.
I loved the experience. Here’s the mural:

This mural is on the exterior wall of a restaurant, which is why I think the artist did a great job of adding a touch that complements the atmosphere of the place.
We can see two skulls dancing happily and holding glasses of wine or some kind of spirits, hehe. I love the level of detail in the skeletons’ facial features—it really makes it look like they’re having a great time.
On the other hand, we can see two important objects: a heart and a stethoscope in the center. It looks like they’re tempting death—or maybe they’re just enjoying being dead, hehe. It’s a little hard to pin down the real meaning.
But we also see a large bottle of some alcoholic beverage labeled “Night Shift”—it seems that this restaurant is only open at night. In addition, there are three glass bottles with colorful contents that appear to be some kind of drink.
It has a lot of interesting elements; we might understand it better if we saw what this restaurant has to offer, but overall, I think it goes really well with the story and gives a good idea of what goes on there, hehe.
The day I was there, I remember there was a DJ and lots of people dancing, which is why I mentioned that the image seemed to need music to really bring the skeletons’ dance to life. Well, I hope you liked it, and I’d love to hear if you came up with another interpretation of this beautiful mural.
