Three Tune Tuesday ~ Snow Patrol ~ Paul Wilson ~ Birthday Boy #113

Welcome to my #TTT #ThreeTuneTuesday entry!

Good evening, everyone!

Welcome to another edition of my regular weekly Tuesday post.

Today I’m featuring the former bassist of the Northern Irish and Scottish alternative rock band Snow Patrol.

Paul, born in 1978, turns 48 today. Ever since he was a child, he has expressed his desire to become a professional musician. He is a multifaceted artist capable of playing various instruments. His favorite instrument has always been the guitar, which he played for nearly two decades before switching to the bass guitar.

Paul admits that playing the bass is a major challenge, as it’s harder to express emotions and unlock the instrument’s full potential—which is precisely why it demands greater dedication and complexity.

Here are three songs by this band—which, although I don’t know very well, was introduced to me by a friend in 2006... More than 20 years ago! How time flies....

And now I’m going to tell you a little about my week. These past two days, even though I took time off from my job, I’ve been in training for a company I’ll be working with part-time very soon.

It’s going to be a new, very challenging project. It will certainly take me out of my comfort zone, but I’m really excited about it, since the team seems very motivated and is led by someone who respects their employees and always strives to foster a positive work environment.

Who knows—maybe what I’m taking on today as a part-time job will eventually become something more significant in terms of commitment and the number of hours worked each week....

Wish me luck!🍀

Good luck with the new job training. It is pretty cool that Snow Patrol's former bassist started out on guitar for so long before making the switch.
