Pull vs Push | Inktober Day 19 | Confused

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share another Inktober drawing along with a little bit of a pleasant memory. It is the drawing of a pair of doors to a store.

The prompt for Inktober Day 19 is 'Confused'

Let me share how I did the drawing first. This is quite a simple drawing with mostly geometry lines. First of all, I drew two rectangle boxes to indicate the doors. I drew everything free hand without the use of a ruler or any guide. Then I also added the long doors to them.

Then I added the Pull and Push signs to both doors. I have gotten confused my entire life about the doors so sometimes I push the doors that say 'Pull' and vice versa. However now I am so much more alert and read the sign first before attempting to open it.

The drawing seemed to be too simple although it does fit the prompt. So I drew some details like the name of the store. I named it as 7-Eleven which is a famous 24/7 chain store. It has all kinds of necessaties. I also drew some banners in front of the store because sometimes they advertise things there. I made one as a hanging banner while the other on an easel.

I set it as 7-Eleven because I have gone there maybe a month ago. The staff was really nice to me. I wanted to spend some coins I have accumulated there by paying a bill. I never pay them in shops and always make online payments except for that month as I really wanted to finish the coins. The staff lady was so kind and nice to me and encouraged me to use the coins. She did not look annoyed at all when I handed over many coins and in fact she was really sweet. It was early in the morning so that was a pleasant start of my day.

Thank you for dropping by and I hope that you have a great day without confusion.

I hate doors that don't have interlocking / rabbeted meeting stiles (that 'ㄣ' shaped overlap). When a door swings freely both ways without a flush stop, you never know if someone is about to push it right into your face!
