Personal opinion
This anime might seem like more of the same, well, it is and yet it isn't. In my opinion, it was entertaining, and I couldn't stand the protagonist. He's the most introspective person in the world, and although his magic and his role in the story lean more towards the dark side, ultimately, his personality doesn't lend itself to it. The premise starts from a base full of clichés, there's no denying that, however, it holds up thanks to the inversion of dynamics, since, instead of focusing on exploitation or the dark cliché of the black market, the story quickly shifts towards a comedy about miscommunication and emotional healing. The contrast between the grand scale of the magical world and the couple's everyday domestic dilemmas gives it a rather refreshing tone.
Let's talk about the animation. It's quite simple, with a very pretty visual style. The character designs are faithful to the beautiful illustrations of the light novel, using soft tones that fit the warm atmosphere of the romance. The combat sequences and magic effects are functional, fulfilling their purpose without being dazzling. As for the characters, the protagonist is intimidating and destructive on the outside, but on the inside he's a bundle of social nerves, which makes him quite refreshing in that respect. His absolute respect for Nephy's consent and timing makes him very endearing. Nephy, although at first she seems like the stereotype of a "tragic and submissive girl," gains agency and personality as she recovers her self-esteem.
Both characters carry a heavy burden from their past; however, as the story unfolds, we see how past abuse conditions people to feel unworthy of affection, and how a safe environment helps rebuild self-esteem. The plot also reflects how a lack of verbal expression creates absurd barriers between people, even when intentions are noble, thus emphasizing the importance of knowing how to communicate.

Este anime pareciera más de lo mismo, bueno, si lo es y a su vez como que no, al mi parecer me resulto entretenida y no podía con el protagonista, es el ser más introspectivo del mundo y, aunque su magia y su posición en la historia sea más hacia el lado oscuro, en definitiva, su personalidad no da para eso. La premisa parte de una base llena de clichés, aquí no hay que negar nada de eso, sin embargo, se sostiene gracias a la inversión de dinámicas, ya que, en lugar de centrarse en la explotación o el cliché oscuro del mercado negro, la historia se inclina rápidamente hacia una comedia sobre la incomunicación y la sanación emocional. El contraste entre la gran escala del mundo mágico y los dilemas domésticos cotidianos de la pareja le da un tono bastante refrescante.
Hablemos de la animación, realmente es sencilla, con un apartado visual muy bonito, los diseños de personajes son fieles a las hermosas ilustraciones de la novela ligera, usando tonos suaves que encajan con el ambiente cálido del romance; las secuencias de combate y los efectos mágicos son funcionales, cumplen su cometido sin deslumbrar. En cuanto a sus personajes, el protagonista por fuera es intimidante y destructivo, pero por dentro es un manojo de nervios sociales, lo que lo vuelve un protagonista bastante refrescante en ese aspecto, además su respeto absoluto hacia el consentimiento y los tiempos de Nephy lo hace muy entrañable. Nephy, aunque al principio parece el estereotipo de "chica trágica y sumisa", va ganando agencia y personalidad a medida que recupera su autoestima.
Ambos personajes llevan una gran carga de su pasado, no obstante, a medida que avanza la historia nos van mostrando cómo el abuso del pasado condiciona a las personas a sentirse indignas de afecto, y cómo un entorno seguro ayuda a reconstruir la autoestima.
