Comprender lo que tu interior te dice/Understanding what your inner self is telling you [ESP/ENG]

ENGLISH

Hello dear friends at @holos.lotus, greetings and blessings; today I’m here to share my thoughts on the Post from @damarysvibra—a pleasure to talk about it.

REVIEW (7).jpg Design in CANVA

Getting to know ourselves—especially our inner selves—is very important. In the rush of daily life, with all the responsibilities that arise, it is easy to overlook this. External factors constantly influence us in one way or another—affecting how we feel, how we carry ourselves, how we speak, walk, act, and experience our emotions. For instance, you might think you walk with a slight limp because you bumped into something or slept poorly, but is that really the case? Such a posture could signify something deeper—an underlying reason for why you walk that way—and it may only be when your environment changes that this pattern can shift.

I remember a friend I had in college whose way of speaking and walking always seemed subdued. At first, we assumed it was because she was constantly suffering from allergies or was frequently ill—not realizing that, in truth, she was struggling emotionally. At home, her father’s way of speaking to her was far from ideal, and at university, she didn’t have many people she could truly connect with. Although she had me and a few other friends, she didn’t always express how she was feeling; instead, her behavior served as a window into her inner state. When we began offering her advice and whatever help we could, her attitude—and even her willingness to engage in conversation—improved significantly; she underwent a complete transformation.

In my own case, at least, my mood swings and the way I express myself are clearly reflected in how I act, speak, or react. When things aren’t going well or I’m feeling down, I tend to get irritable or focus on something to distract myself; conversely, when the situation shifts and the atmosphere becomes calmer, my attitude improves. We often assume that our behavior or the way we express ourselves only affects our own state of mind, but external factors also play a role—they influence us in one way or another—so it’s always worth taking a closer look at that.

image

At first, we might think that self-evaluation is unnecessary, but that is certainly not the case. Suppressing our feelings, or allowing internal and external factors to affect us unchecked, actually hinders us from moving forward on our path in the best possible way. Engaging in self-evaluation and seeking the tools to achieve well-being—both internally and externally—is the most sensible approach. Our bodies are very effective at expressing how we truly feel or what our actual state is; this isn't limited to times when we are physically ill. Our mental and emotional health—whether or not they are in a good state—inevitably manifest in some way. This doesn't mean we are constantly changing; rather, it reflects the influence of various factors.
