Speaking of loneliness, I have always believed that at certain points in life, one needs to be alone for distinct periods—and for what purpose? To think, reflect, and find a way to move forward with life. Although being alone can sometimes be difficult—bringing feelings of suffocation or the fear of losing one’s mind—it is ultimately a way to connect with yourself; a chance to listen to your inner voice, analyze yourself, and realize that there is nothing wrong with your own company. Even if it isn't something you do all the time, taking that moment to be alone proves both necessary and important. Loneliness, if handled correctly, can be a good counselor—provided you don't let it take control.

I’ve always felt that the worst thing is feeling lonely; even when you’re in the company of others—at a gathering or anywhere else—that sense of isolation amidst a crowd can truly lead to depression. That is precisely when seeking help becomes necessary, because being alone is not the same as feeling lonely. There was a time when I felt that way—lonely—and by the time I realized it, I was depressed and had lost sight of what I wanted. The loneliness had taken such a firm hold on me that I couldn't see beyond it; while I had previously been used to spending time by myself, this time I had let it consume me. It wasn't healthy; instead, it was dragging me into a deep pit I initially thought I’d never escape, but eventually, thanks to a special person in my life, I was able to pull myself out of it.

Loneliness is not something we should impose upon ourselves or allow to take the reins of our lives; while it can be helpful at times, it can also consume us and lead us down dark paths where no ray of light seems to shine, ultimately affecting us more than we might wish. I wouldn't call loneliness bad—one simply needs to know how to handle it and possess the mental strength to bear the weight it carries. It is important to understand that connecting with others and living in company can be best, yet when you need to be alone, you should take that time—while keeping in mind the importance of eventually stepping back out into the world. Life allows us to experience things and meet many people; although not everyone stays by our side, we must learn to appreciate those who do, and pushing them away simply because we are seeking loneliness is not the answer. That is why living with loneliness—without letting it take up permanent residence within us—is the best way to continue along the path that lies ahead.

Bueno, estamos construyendo conocimiento y herramientas. Muchas gracias por ampliar el tema, @yasmarit
