Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always dreamed of living by the beach, but time passed and I wasn’t able to make it happen. That’s why, when I look at the homes on San Luis Beach, I feel a bit nostalgic, but at the same time, I love taking in this natural setting—a community that’s so much more than just water, sun, and sand.
Most of the houses are modest; what caught my attention was the xerophytic vegetation found in most of them—many cacti of different shapes with beautiful red flowers. This contrast, framed by the dark green, is certainly very striking.
I had never paid much attention to this area before, but ever since I started walking and looking at these natural landscapes with fresh eyes, my perception has changed. While there are some very well-maintained gardens—a sign that the homes are inhabited—there’s also quite a bit of overgrown vegetation and neglect in some areas.
It was a sunny day—perfect for walking without overthinking, letting myself go, and breathing in the fresh air. Not only is the beach landscape inspiring, with that blue backdrop and the enchanting sound of the waves, but the abundant vegetation is also captivating. Flowers, shrubs, and plants offer us beautiful sights that make us grateful for these moments, as nature connects us to the essence of life.
Taking walks, having fun, and seeking well-being are my goals for achieving fulfillment this year, and I’m gradually getting there. I’m aware that my dream of owning a beach house is a distant one, since my youth is behind me and my priorities have changed; that’s why I let my imagination run wild when I watch everyday life unfold on the beach.

Desde que era niña siempre soñé con vivir a orillas de una playa, pero el tiempo pasó y no lo pude lograr. Por ello cuando observo las viviendas que están en playa San Luis me siento un tanto nostálgica, pero de igual manera me encanta mirar este ambiente natural, una comunidad que es mucho más que agua, sol y arena.
La mayoría de las casas son modestas, me llamó la atención la vegetación xerófila presente en la mayoría de ellas, muchos cactus de diferentes formas que tenían lindas flores rojas, sin duda se vuelve muy llamativo este contrate enmarcado con el verde oscuro.
Nunca le había puesto atención a esta zona, desde que empecé a caminar y mirar con nuevos ojos estos escenarios naturales mi percepción cambió. Si bien hay jardines muy bien cuidados, lo que es indicio de viviendas habitadas, también se aprecia bastante maleza y abandono en algunos sectores.
El día estaba soleado y era perfecto para caminar sin pensar demasiado, dejarse llevar y respirar aire puro. No solo el paisaje de la playa es inspirador, con ese fondo azul y ese sonido encantador de las olas, también la abundante vegetación es encantadora. Flores, arbustos y plantas nos regalan bellas imágenes para agradecer por vivir estos momentos puesto que la naturaleza nos conecta con lo esencial de la vida.
Pasear, divertirse y buscar bienestar son mis propósitos para alcanzar plenitud este año y paulatinamente lo estoy logrando. Consciente estoy de que ese anhelo de tener una casa en la playa es muy lejano pues ya la juventud me abandonó y mis prioridades han cambiado, por ello dejo volar la imaginación cuando observo la cotidianidad a la orilla de la playa.
