My first visit to Dubai with my brother was amazing, though i didnt expect it, to be so hot, their were almost no trees and all just tall buildings, and i think that will be my only complaint about my visit, but visiting Dubai for the first time with my brother made the experience completely different.
The journey was definitely an amazing experience, i looked forward to it. When you travel with family, especially a sibling, you don't necessarily need everything to go perfectly for the trip to be memorable. My brother and I had plenty of those moments. There is something about being away from your normal environment that makes conversations different. You have more time to talk, laugh, observe things around you and just enjoy each other's company.
Seeing Dubai in person was something else. Pictures really don't prepare you for the scale of the city. The buildings seem to stretch endlessly into the sky, the roads are incredibly impressive, and everywhere you look there seems to be something designed to make you stop and look twice.
Seeing the Burj Khalifa for the first time was definitely one of those moments, but interestingly, as impressive as the sights were, they weren't necessarily what I remember most. What stays with me more are the little moments between the attractions, especially talking to tourists, i spoke a little bit of french i learned in High school to some French tourists and i was so happy and fulfilled. One thing travelling with family teaches you is that experiences become more valuable when they are shared.
I could have visited Dubai alone and still had an amazing time. I could have taken pictures, visited the famous attractions and enjoyed everything the city has to offer but having my brother there gave the trip another layer. It became something we could both look back on and say, "Remember when we did that in Dubai?" and I think those shared memories are one of the greatest gifts family can give us.
