Good morning, fellow Summoners! 👋
This is @zusi78, and you are welcome to another edition of my Splinterlands journey. The first season of the new bracket-based Modern Ranked format has officially come to an end. It was a competitive, challenging, and exciting experience, and I am pleased to share my performance, leaderboard result, season rewards, and how I spent my hard-earned Glints.
My Ranked Performance. During the season, I participated in both Frontier and Modern Ranked, although most of my attention was focused on the Modern format.I competed in Bracket III, which belongs to the Silver bracket, and finished the season in Division 3 with the following results:
- Rating: 3,440
- Victories: 238
- Defeats: 150
- Win rate: 61.34%
- Leaderboard position: 32nd
A win rate of over 60% is a strong indication that my battle strategies were effective throughout the season. However, the number of battles and the new format also showed me that there is still room for improvement.
Frontier Ranked Results. I also took part in Frontier Ranked, where I completed the season with these statistics:
- Rating: 3,560
- Victories: 73
- Defeats: 52
- Win rate: 58.40%
- Leaderboard placement: 259th
Although my Frontier performance was decent, Modern Ranked was clearly the highlight of my season. Finishing 32nd on the Modern leaderboard was one of the achievements I am most proud of.
Battling Familiar Warriors. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the new bracket system was the frequent opportunity to face familiar players.Instead of constantly battling unknown opponents, I regularly encountered warriors from the community, including @dewabrata, @bulkathos, my Guild Co-founder, and many other skilled players. These encounters added an extra layer of excitement to the game. Each battle felt more personal and competitive, especially when facing players I already knew. It was also a great opportunity to test my strategies against experienced Summoners and settle a few friendly scores. 😎
My Biggest Glint Reward Yet.
This season produced my highest Glint earnings since I started grinding Modern Ranked.
My rewards were:
- Season Glints: 256,564
- Leaderboard Glints: 12,500
- Total Glints: 269,064
- SPS received: 299.727
The leaderboard reward was earned because of my 32nd-place finish. I am so glad with the SPS reward and I believe the SPS was connected to the reward points accumulated during the season, although I am open to correction if there is another explanation.
Receiving more than 269,000 Glints was a huge milestone for me. It made the long hours of battling and climbing the leaderboard feel worthwhile.
Shopping at Gwen’s Glint Shop.
After receiving my rewards, I immediately visited Gwen’s Glint Shop to put my Glints to work.I spent the entire 269,064 Glints on the following items:
- 1 Legendary card draw — 70,000 Glints
- 10 Epic card draws — 150,000 Glints
- 200 Minor Chests — 100,000 Glints
The total cost of these purchases was 320,000 Glints. I had additional Glints balance already available in my account.Hence the purchase was possible.
Unveiling the Rewards.
The most exciting part of opening the purchases was discovering what I received.
Legendary Draw
The Legendary draw gave me the opportunity to obtain a powerful high-rarity card that could improve my collection and potentially strengthen future battles.I got NULLWROUGHT.
Epic Draws
The 10 Epic draws provided valuable additions to my collection. Epic cards can be extremely useful because they often possess powerful abilities and perform exceptionally well under specific rulesets and battle conditions.I was especially delighted with this purchase because I finally obtained the card I had been searching for to complete my Epic collection. It was none other than Kazira Vaelstrik —and to make the reward even better, I received two copies!
MY EPIC COLLECTIONS.
Minor Chests.
Opening Link
The 200 Minor Chests added another exciting dimension to the reward-opening process. Each chest offered a chance to receive cards, resources, and other useful items.Opening such a large number of chests was definitely one of the most enjoyable moments of the season. It made the entire ranked grind feel even more rewarding, especially when I discovered an Epic card—Wailsworn Specter—among the rewards.
Lessons From the Season
This season taught me several important lessons:
- The new bracket system creates more focused and competitive battles.
- Maintaining a high win rate is important for climbing the leaderboard.
- Familiar opponents can make the ranked experience more exciting.
- Consistent participation can produce significant Glint rewards.
- Spending rewards wisely can help improve a collection over time.
Finishing in Division 3 was a good achievement, but I know I can do better. My next goal is to improve my battle consistency, make better use of the available cards, and push beyond my previous position.
Goals for the New Season
NEW SEASON POSITION ALREADY.
A new season has already begun, and I am ready for another round of battles. My main objective is to surpass my previous result and climb higher than Division 3. I also want to improve my leaderboard position, increase my win rate, and make more strategic decisions when selecting teams. The competition will certainly be tough, but every battle provides an opportunity to learn and improve.
Final Thoughts The first season of the new Modern Ranked bracket format was intense, competitive, and rewarding. I finished with a rating of 3,440, achieved a 61.34% win rate, secured 32nd place on the leaderboard, and earned a total of 269,064 Glints from my ranked performance and leaderboard reward.Beyond the numbers, the season gave me the chance to battle familiar warriors, test my strategies, and strengthen my collection through Legendary, Epic, and Minor Chest purchases.I am grateful for the experience and excited about what the new season will bring. Can I surpass Division 3 this season? I believe I can!
