Qurator's Monday Mission entry

@qurator has a Monday Missions competition going and this week the theme is all about Christmas.

I've gotten used to the fact that in my family we wait to celebrate 'Wintermas' (thanks for that great term for the December holidays @thekittygirl) on the weekend after Christmas.

We have family birthdays to celebrate and we will be welcoming in the new decade, too.

It will be strange this year because my 86 year old mother has been in the hospital since Thanksgiving and she is not doing well.

I still have lots of preparations before everyone arrives!

No matter which December holiday your celebrate, I hope it is a joyful one!

Sorry to hear your Mom is not doing so well Melinda, thoughts are with you over this period.

Decorating is a thing of the past, I gave my tree and all decorations to a needing caring family who had never enjoyed Christmas with young ones in the home.

As a family of all adults we enjoy a lovely dinner together enjoying each others company.

Here is to wish you and yours a wonderful "wintermas" possibly all in white outdoors, while we enjoy the warmer weather in mid-summer @melinda010100

uh, such a small post it was?!! I prepared to read and watch ..... watch... watch... and the post have ended almost at the very start, hehe!

enjoyed the picture of your entrance very much, beautiful! and you still have some snow, not much but anyway!.. we do not, at all.. its all melted, and today all the citizens suffered from heavy rain, and used umbrellas a lot..

I also have accumulated some stuff for the Qurator Christmas challenge! maybe I will enter this week, I not decided yet.

I miss Christmas in Spain. It goes through the Epiphany on January 6, when gifts are opened. Mostly, though, I miss the polvorones (christmas goodie), though!
