The other day I was asking a friend for movie recommendation and she mentioned "The Parent's Trap". I knew it will be an interesting movie with no doubt and it indeed meet my expectations but with a curiosity of how the movie was gonna unfold due to its title. Like which sensible parent would wanna set a trap for their child and how? Curiosity made me see the movie on time.
The Parent's Trap is a family drama, romantic and comedy movie produced by The Meyers, centered around a lovely couple, Nick and Lizzy, (Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson) who started with love from the first scene, having their wedding in a ship but only to be found separated for 11years and few months from the second scene. The complicated part was the couple having twins and they decided to split, each person taking one of the twins with them so that they (couple) don't get to see one another ever again.
It's hard to see such lovely couple from first scene ended up separated which shows how a simple misunderstanding between couples who love themselves, which should have been accompanied and settled with sorry could lead to unintentional dispute and separation. Most times, when we ask divorced or separated couples the reason behind their decisions, no accurate or valid reasons will be given.
All thanks to the summer break that got these twins together. Though they started as sworn enemies, playing dirty games on themselves which led to been isolated as punishment because two camp supervisors got affected by their dirty games. The two got to be friends through the isolation punishment which established another fact that, when two people who often get into disagreement are matched to do things together for a while, a kind of affection comes in between. Through this, they got to realize they were twin sisters and decided to switch on leaving the camp, so they could get to know their parents which they've not been with for 11 years.

| I love how the twins, Annie and Hallie (Lindsay Lohan) tried their best in bringing back their parents even though it was hard. The point of Nick and Lizzy realizing that they had their other child with them was lovely as well. | |
| It became easier to bring the couples back with the support of the other family members, even at the edge of Nick remarrying to Meredith. | |

The movie has a bit of comedy from the pranks Annie and Hallie pulled on their supposed step-mum Meredith, just to chase her off from their dad and cancel the wedding. It's not really a too far movie but I just love the storyline and how it kind of reminded me about a once popular movie back then titled "Home Alone". If you have seen that movie, then there is high possibility you would wanna see this movie too. Although, it's an old movie but you would love to see it.
