Hace días le dije a mi mamá para ver una película llamada Soul, le había dicho que era una película animada hecha para adultos para entender que pasa con la vida después de la muerte desde un punto de vista diferente y animado más allá de religiones y creencias.
Days ago I told my mom to watch a movie called Soul, I had told her it was an animated movie made for adults to understand what happens with life after death from a different and animated point of view beyond religions and beliefs.
Es que, siempre nos hemos hecho esa pregunta “¿Qué ocurre después de la muerte? ¿Qué pasa con nosotros? ¿se acaba la vida o simplemente se desvanece todo lo que hemos logrado en nuestra vida terrenal? ¿A dónde va el espíritu? ¿hacia dónde vamos? ¿a que venimos? ¿Cuál es nuestro propósito o nuestra misión en este plano terrenal? Todo este tema trata Soul y Pixar tuvo la brillante idea de plasmar todas esas dudas en esta película.
We have always asked ourselves the question "What happens after death? What happens to us? Does life end or does everything we have achieved in our earthly life simply vanish? Where does the spirit go? Where are we going? What is our purpose or our mission in this earthly plane? This is what Soul is all about and Pixar had the brilliant idea of capturing all these doubts in this movie.
Lo cierto es que desde nacimos y crecemos siempre nos preguntamos ¿en que soy bueno? Puesto a que, hay diversas personas que encuentra su pasión o ya nacen con el talento. Hay personas que son buenas para tocar instrumentos musicales, otros son buenos bailando, otros cantando, otros practican deportes y hay otra mitad de personas como yo que nos preguntamos ¿Cuál es mi chispa o propósito? En muchas ocasiones, nos enfocamos tanto en conseguir una meta a largo plazo y nuestras preocupaciones de adultos nos frustran mucho, así como el profesor Joe que pensaba a diestra y siniestra que su único propósito en la vida era tocar el Jazz y al mismo tiempo era infeliz con su trabajo ¿o es que no es esa la única meta que tenemos? Nuestra vida se nos va preocupados por nuestros trabajos que en muchas ocasiones nos olvidamos tanto de apreciar los pequeños detalles y te preguntaras ¿Cuáles son esos pequeños detalles? Estos pequeños detalles se encuentran en los brazos de tu mamá que siempre te da el amor para seguir adelante, en el consejo de un amigo, compartir momentos y reír con buenos amigos que te quieran ¿Cómo le llamamos a eso? Exacto, VIVIR.
The truth is that since we are born and grow up we always ask ourselves, what am I good at? Because different people find their passion or are born with talent. There are good at playing musical instruments, others are good at dancing, others at singing, others at sports there are another half of people like me who ask ourselves: What is my spark or purpose? On many occasions, we focus so much on achieving a long term goal and our adult worries frustrate us a lot, just like Professor Joe who thought left and right that his only purpose in life was to play Jazz and at the same time he was unhappy with his job, or is that not the only goal we have? Our lives are so preoccupied with our jobs that we often forget to appreciate the little things and you may wonder what those little things are? These small details are found in the arms of your mother who always gives you the love to keep going, in the advice of a friend, sharing moments, and laughing with good friends who love you. Siempre me identifico con el alma 22 y me da mucha risa porque a ella la han preparado por tanto tiempo con diferentes mentores para que descubra su chispa y obtenga el pase para la tierra. Ella pasa por la sala del “todo” donde está la sala de música, fotografía, de basketball, cocina, de pintura, de presidencia, absolutamente de TODO y en ninguna sala pudo encontrar su pasión a pesar que lo intento millones de veces. Así tal cual, es Andrea en la vida jajajaja. Sin embargo 22 sabe más de la vida terrenal que ni Joe que ha vivido su propia vida, por eso, en todo el trayecto de la trama 22 le enseña a Joe cuál es su verdadero propósito.
I always identify with alma 22 and it makes me laugh because she has been prepared for so long with different mentors to discover her spark and get the pass to earth. She goes through the "everything" room where there is music, photography, basketball, cooking, painting, presidency, absolutely EVERYTHING, and in no room could she find her passion even though she tried a million times. That's Andrea in life hahaha. However, 22 knows more about earthly life than even Joe who has lived his own life, that's why throughout the plot 22 teaches Joe what his true purpose is.
La respuesta es SI. La película Soul deja muchas enseñanzas tanto para adultos como para niños, sobre todo, en estos tiempos de pandemia donde hemos perdido seres queridos gracias al covid. esta película nos invita a recordar que tenemos que vivir y aprovechar cada minuto de nuestra vida. En mi opinión, siempre tengo presente esta frase “al final todos nos vamos a morir” tener consciencia de esta frase me ha llevado a querer abrazar la vida de una manera seria. Ser conscientes de que este cuerpo va a morir hace que quiera VIVIR muchísimo.
Cito esta frase de Soul: “No sé qué voy hacer con mi vida pero voy a vivir cada minuto de ella.”
The answer is YES. The movie Soul leaves many teachings for both adults and children, especially in these times of pandemic where we have lost loved ones thanks to covid. this movie invites us to remember that we have to live and take advantage of every minute of our life. In my opinion, I always keep in mind this phrase "in the end, we are all going to die" being aware of this phrase has led me to want to embrace life in a serious way. Being aware that this body is going to die makes me want to LIVE very much.
I quote this phrase from Soul: "I don't know what I'm going to do with my life but I'm going to live every minute of it."
