This new Disney film is inspired by the classic theme park attraction of the same name and mixes fantasy with comedy and adventure, entertaining audiences of all ages.

The plot revolves around the ghosts found in a mansion that has been bought by a successful doctor named Gabbie, played by Rosario Dawson, known for her performances in the films Sin City and Men in Black II, who has a young son named Travis, played by actor Chase Dillon who worked two years ago in the western The Harder They Fall.

Unable to flee as he tried to do at the beginning, since one of the ghosts leaves with them, he decides to hire a group of not very reputable people to try to exorcise the house and make these inhabitants of beyond the grave go away.

Among them is Ben, played by LaKeith Stanfield, known for the television series Atlanta and other film work, Father Kent played by Owen Wilson of extensive experience, especially in the genre of comedies and Tiffani Haddish and Danny de Vito, also has an appearance in it Jamie Lee Curtis.

Between all of them, they create a mess with unexpected twists and turns and an odyssey-like ending, creating environments where reality and fantasy are combined.

The film was directed by Justin Simien and the script was written by Kattie Dippold, who has among her works the successful film Ghostbuster in 2016.

It was released on July 28 of this year and the production budget was $150 million, the reception has been mixed with good opinions prevailing, among them that it is a thoughtful, varied, interesting and visually interesting cinematic experience.

The screening time is too short to make a deep acceptance analysis but personally I enjoyed it with my family and I think it is a good alternative.
