This is a romantic production without a happy ending directed by Mitja Okorn, known for the Polish feature Letters to Santa, from a screenplay by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews.

The plot centers on the relationship between teenagers Daryn, played by Jaden Smith, son of the well-known actor and rapper Will Smith, who in 2010 starred in a remake of Karate Kid, and Isabelle, played by British model and actress Cara Delevingne, who starred in the film version of Nicholas Spark's novel "Paper Towns".

This relationship begins after meeting by chance at a Rap concert, where they were both trying to sneak in and he is taken by her personality.

But there is a detail, both are from different social strata and Daryn is being prepared by his father Xavier, played by Cuba Gooding Jr. to enter Harvard University and this makes it difficult for it to be accepted.

As if that were not enough there is a condition that prevents her from accepting him and that is that the girl has terminal cancer and a maximum of one year to live, something he accepts and makes a plan to live that year happily and together, this against the wishes of his father.

During this time she manages to make him understand that his hobby is in music, specifically in the rap genre and manages to make him record a demo with a friend.

The story becomes at times boring or very predictable and loses its initial strength, but maintains the drama in which two young people fight for a love doomed to the end for health reasons.

Executive produced by Jaden's parents, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith through their company Overbrook Entertainment, the film was released on November 27, 2020 by Amazon Studios and grossed approximately 43 million.

The reviews were mixed, some consider it too basic and with unnecessary scenes while others think the love story is well plotted.

Personally I agree with the former but it does the job of entertaining.
