The next episode of "The Book of Boba Fett" is out - and we are more than half way through the season - or the show, if there isn't going to be a second season.
So far the show received mixed reviews. I have to be honest, I do like the show, but if I had to choose between it and The Mandalorian, I would go with Mando right now. Although Boba Fett has some great features.

The Plot
The first part of the show is around the rescuing of Fennec Shand. I am not sure about the split format. I think it has some advantages, but also disadvantages compared to a classic chronological narrative structure.
So we get back to the fight between Mando and Fennec, when they left her for death. Boba Fett finds her a gets her to the cyborgs. They ar able to modify her and so she survives. Boba recruits her as an ally and together they inflitrate Jabbas palace, where Bib Fortuna rules, so get ti the Slave 1. They see, that there are too many guards, so they try to get to the ship by sneaking in the castle. And they manage to get there, while fighting some droids first and later with some of the guards.
With the Slave 1 they start to settle some scores, and first attack the Kintan striders on their bikes, who have been responsible for attacking the Tusken camp. They attack them with an airstrike from the Slave 1 and kill all of them.

Then they fly to the Great Pit of Carkoon, where Boba Fett wants to search for his armor, which he believes to be inside the Sarlacc. They flight very close to it to look inside, but cannot see anything. When they get too close, they wake up the sarlacc, which tries to drag them in inside his giant mouth. They try to escape, but the monster is really strong. Only in last moment Fennec reaches the cosmic charge and is able kill the monster with it.
Boba then climbs back into the sarlacc pit, where he gets wounded by the acids, but cannot find his armor.
Then they sit around a fire and Boba Fett tells Fennec Shand about his plans, and why he doesn't want to go back to be a Bounty Hunter.
Boba Fett then has another vision inside the bacta tank - the end credit scene from the Mandalorian - when he replaces Bib Fortuna as Daymio of Tatooine. When Boba Fett awakes, a droid congratulates him to be completely healed - at least on the outside, since he tell Fennec as an answer to her question, that the wounds on the inside take longer to be healed.
The next part of the series evolves around the Black Krrsantan. It is showed how he is enjoying himself with a drink in Sanctuary cantina, when he gets angry and attacks the Trandoshans, who once have been cruel to him. Even the calming voice of Garsa Fwip doesn't help in the end, although at least he seems to reconsider. But in the end, he just rips of the arm of the Trandoshan. Boba Fett asks the Black Krrsantan, to join him. It is later shown, that the wookie accepted the offer.
The last part of the episode is about the coming war. Boba Fett talks to the crime bosses and first asks for their support against the Pyke Syndicate. They do not seem to be interested, and even threaten Boba Fett, when he reveals his rancor, who puts his claws through the trapdoors gaps. They then agree to stay neutral and not support the Pykes.
Boba Fett tells Fennec shand later, that he doesn't trust their word, but at least their self-interest. And he thinks that his offer is a lot better, than what the Pykes would offer. They then discuss that they must prepare for war. Fennec suggests, that they could hire man power.

My Opinion
This episode is another really good one. The story is taken a lot further. The dynamic between Fett and Shand is really great and I love to get to know their back story and their first steps together. The only problem is, that there are only three episodes left in this season. If we would get a second season, this wouldn't be a problem at all, but so far we don't know about that. So we have to assume, that there is only one season right now - and then there is a lot of story to tell for not a lot of time left. I think that this is one of the best episodes so far. The only question I am asking myself: Why did he go back to the sarlacc? He probably doesn't know, that the Jawas removed his armor, but how would he assume, that his armor would still be in the sarlacc. It was nice to see the seismic charge bomb again and also how they finally killed the sarlacc. But it doen't really make any sense that the armor would went back to the monster.
I am really looking forward to tomorrow's episode and hope that we finally see how the confrontations between the Pykes and Boba Fett start - or at least how they prepare for war.
Cheers, @andy-plays
