El dia de hoy quiero venir hablarles sobre una Película la cual está nominada al Oscars 2023 y hablo de Pinocchio una historia clásica contada ahora por el guion y dirección de Guillermo del Toro (claro con un increíble equipo) que hicieron posible, esta maravilla de película.
Hello dear Hive community, I hope you are doing well. Today I want to talk about a movie which is nominated for the Oscars 2023 and I'm talking about Pinocchio a classic story told now by the script and direction of Guillermo del Toro (of course with an incredible team) that made possible, this wonderful movie).
Todos creo que sabemos el cuento de Pinocchio, así sea por el cuento de Carlo Collodi o la película tradicional de Disney, la verdad no era muy fan de pequeña de la película porque había varias escenas que me daban miedo, hoy en día las entiendo y de cierta manera me reprimí en ver esta versión a pesar de que hablaban maravillas, pero en esto ¿De qué va? La película va de un carpintero en un pueblo de Italia llamado Geppetto (la cual se encontraba en guerra) el cual tenía un hijo llamado Carlos quien quería mucho y lamentablemente murió, pasado los años el señor vive en lamentos y el hada del bosque le concede la dicha de tener un “hijo” de madera llamado Pinocchio.
I think we all know the story of Pinocchio, either by the story of Carlo Collodi or the traditional Disney movie, the truth is that I was not a big fan of the movie because there were several scenes that scared me, today I understand them and in a way I restrained myself in seeing this version even though they spoke wonders, but what is it about? The movie is about a carpenter in a village in Italy called Geppetto (which was at war) who had a son named Carlos who he loved very much and unfortunately died, over the years the man lives in mourning and the fairy of the forest gives him the joy of having a "son" of wood called Pinocchio.
Quiero hablar de la animación primero, siento que es algo de la cual no he estaba acostumbrada ver y dándole la cabeza me acorde de otra película con ese aire cinematográfico y es “Martin el zapatero” pero claro, es una película súper vieja y los detalles de esta (que hasta se les veía los huesitos de las costillas a los perritos callejeros) no lo tenía Martin, cabe decir que me gusto esos pequeños detalles en la madera, en los rostros y en Pinocchio, además de que las canciones que cantaban era muy lindas.
I want to talk about the animation first, I feel that it is something I have not been used to seeing and when I turned my head to it I remembered another movie with that cinematographic air and it is "Martin the cobbler" but of course, it is a super old movie and the details of this one (you could even see the bones of the ribs of the stray dogs) Martin did not have it, I must say that I liked those little details in the wood, in the faces and in Pinocchio, besides the songs they sang were very cute.
Con referente a la historia como tal, si me gusto la introducción del hijo de Geppetto y el pesar de este hombre, me dio ese tono melancólico que le da vida al deseo de un hombre que vive en la soledad porque como dice al final la hada “para que nunca estés solo” y ese es el gran detalle, supongo que las personas que desean ser padres o que han perdido algún hijo esta parte lo tocan de manera muy profunda y me encanta, como a su vez el personaje de Geppetto me parece un señor mayor muy tierno y dedicado y siempre he tenido esa imagen de él incluso en la película animada, por otro lado el personaje de Pinocchio me encanto por inocente y no por rebelde, es como alguien que apenas está cociendo el mundo y nos dan a entender muchas cosas.
Regarding the story as such, if I liked the introduction of Geppetto's son and the regret of this man, it gave me that melancholic tone that gives life to the desire of a man who lives in loneliness because as the fairy says at the end "so you'll never be alone" and that is the great detail, I guess that people who want to be parents or who have lost a child this part touches it in a very deep way and I love it, as well as the character of Geppetto seems to me a very tender and dedicated older man and I have always had that image of him even in the animated film, on the other hand the character of Pinocchio I loved him for being innocent and not rebellious, is like someone who is just cooking the world and we are given to understand many things.
La película va transcurriendo muy rápido a mi parecer y hay varios escenarios, la inclusión de la guerra me llamo a atención y como está al final tiene relevancia y no quiero hablar de simbolismos pero necesito mencionar la parte en el campo de entrenamiento en donde los “niños” porque si, ese muñeco de madera es un niño junto con otro dice que hubo un empate me hizo cuestionar la guerra, como también la representación de ese Jesuscrito y sin mencionar a la “muerte” habla muchas cosas interesantes con Pinocchio que me hizo reflexionar mucho.
The movie goes very fast in my opinion and there are several scenarios, the inclusion of the war called my attention and as it is at the end it has relevance and I do not want to talk about symbolism but I need to mention the part in the training camp where the "children" because yes, that wooden doll is a child along with another says that there was a tie made me question the war, as well as the representation of that Jesuscrito and not to mention the "death" speaks many interesting things with Pinocchio that made me reflect a lot.
El personaje del grillo y otros como el mono, que fue incluido me gustaron fueron de esos que uno le agarra cariño, siento que esta película es mucho mejor que la original y me atrevo a mencionar que le hizo varios guiños a “los cuentos de los hermanos Grimm” con la escena de la hoguera y otras, tiene muchos mensajes reflexivos como la comparación que hacen los padres con los hijos, porque yo pensé que era una reencarnación de Carlos pero no, él es Pinocchio y de una forma muy particular se volvió un niño de verdad, no quiero mencionar muchas cosas. Pero si tiene escenas que te dan un nudo en la garganta y el final es “perfecto y triste” por decirlo así, quede llorando porque vi una película hermosa.
The character of the cricket and others like the monkey, which was included I liked were those that you get attached to, I feel that this film is much better than the original and I dare to mention that it made several winks to "The Tales of the Brothers Grimm" with the scene of the bonfire and others, has many reflective messages as the comparison that parents make with children, because I thought it was a reincarnation of Carlos but no, he is Pinocchio and in a very particular way became a real child, I do not want to mention many things. But it does have scenes that give you a lump in your throat and the ending is "perfect and sad" so to speak, I was in tears because I saw a beautiful movie.
Siento que esta película dará su batalla en su categoría, de las otras nominadas me he visto Turning Red que a pesar de que me gustó mucho. Pinocchio para mi opinión me gusto más, tiene más detalles a profundidad y siento que lo merece un poco mas aunque Turning Red es una joyita también no me hizo sentir como esta me hizo sentir. Le doy a Pinocchio un 11/10 no se si eso es posible pero es mi calificación jejejeje, nos leemos pronto.
I feel that this film will do battle in its category, of the other nominees I have seen Turning Red, although I liked it a lot. Pinocchio for my opinion I liked it more, it has more in depth details and I feel it deserves it a little more although Turning Red is a little gem also it didn't make me feel like this one made me feel. I give Pinocchio an 11/10 I don't know if that's possible but that's my rating hehehehehe, see you soon.
