MY FAVORITE TV COMEDY IS “FRIENDS”.
Friends is an American sitcom that deals with the lives of 6 young friends who lived in New York, and for personal reasons found themselves in the situation of sharing the same apartment, and later, two apartments, facing each other. They also shared their moments in a cafe that was close to where they lived and called Central Perk, where they all met to tell each other anecdotes of what happened during the day. Thus, many fun, complicated, tangled moments, but also very beautiful ones, occurred daily in the midst of the friendship that existed between them.
This sitcom is my favorite because it brings together so many situations that resonated with me at the time it aired. It was the 90's, I was newly married with a young child and pregnant when I first saw her. I was immediately hooked by the environment, the connection between the characters, the empathy in the midst of some natural situations that occur between friends, not everything is perfect or rosy, but beautiful friendships can be achieved that last forever, and that caught me of that comedy.
Friends made me laugh with the occurrences of the boys, the romances, the love relationships between them, the camaraderie, the mutual support, the reflections after each action and that constant struggle to get ahead in the midst of a change as complicated as meeting coming of age but still having adolescent reactions and behavior, the debate between immaturity and the desire to value your role as an adult that begins in a society that is often so demanding.
My favorite character from the beginning was Rachel, and from that moment Jennifer Aniston became my favorite actress… and the couple that caught me the most, of course, was Rachel and Ross; I lived with them every success and failure, their moments of love and their disappointments, as well as the "blunders" of both for being so impulsive, but it is the most natural attitude when you are that age. The most beautiful thing of all was seeing the supportive capacity of his friends to reconcile them, between one or another absurd situation such as the moment in which Joice tried to have a relationship with Rachel behind Ross's back so as not to hurt him, but in the same way everything was discovered. and understood that she would never stop loving her friend. That ability to forgive even those mistakes is only reached when there really is a relationship of friends.
I remember that at that time I had my baby and I missed many chapters. I didn't always get a chance to see them. Then I picked up some on a cable channel but they were broadcast in a disorderly manner. Until I had Netflix and downloaded all the seasons with their full episodes in order and had a daily Friends marathon on vacation that didn't stop until I got to the final episode. In total, 10 seasons, and episodes in total… it was the best, I enjoyed it incredibly.
In my personal opinion, Friends is not only a modern youth comedy but a complete history of reflections on the values of friendship, reflected through the lives of 6 boys who showed us that just as good times can be enjoyed among friends , the most important are the difficult moments, and it is there where each one of them was present in the lives of others to support them, not let them fall, or help them get up if the fall is inevitable.
The healthy and beautiful union between Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Joey and Chandler was the best friendship experience that I could enjoy during my youth, and the one that any young person would want to experience.

MI COMEDIA FAVORITA DE TV ES “FRIENDS”.
Friends es una comedia norteamericana que trata sobre la vida de 6 jóvenes amigos que vivían en Nueva York, y por razones personales se vieron en la situación de compartir el mismo apartamento, y posteriormente, dos apartamentos, uno frente al otro. También compartían sus momentos en un café que se encontraba cerca de donde vivían y que se llamaba Central Perk, allí se reunían todos a contarse anécdotas de lo sucedido durante el día. Así se fueron dando diariamente muchos momentos divertidos, complicados, enredados, pero también muy bonitos en medio de la relación de amistad que existía entre ellos.
Esta comedia es mi favorita porque reúne muchas situaciones que se identificaban conmigo en el momento en que salió al aire. Corrían los años 90, yo estaba recién casada, tenía un niño pequeño y estaba embarazada cuando la vi por primera vez. Me enganchó de inmediato el ambiente, la conexión entre los personajes, la empatía en medio de algunas situaciones naturales que se dan entre amigos, no todo es perfecto ni color de rosa pero se pueden alcanzar hermosas amistades que perduran para siempre, y eso me atrapó de esa comedia.
Friends me hacía reír con las ocurrencias de los chicos, los romances, las relaciones de amor entre ellos, la camaradería, el apoyo mutuo, las reflexiones después de cada acción y esa lucha constante para salir adelante en medio de un cambio tan complicado como cumplir la mayoría de edad pero aún tener reacciones y comportamiento de adolescente, el debate entre la inmadurez y el deseo de que valoren tu rol de adulto que se inicia en una sociedad muchas veces tan exigente.
Mi personaje favorito desde el principio fue Rachel, y desde ese momento Jennifer Aniston se convirtió en mi actriz favorita… y la pareja que más me atrapó, por supuesto, fue la de Rachel y Ross; vivía con ellos cada acierto y desacierto, sus momentos de amor y sus decepciones, así como también las “metidas de pata” de ambos por ser tan impulsivos, pero es la actitud más natural cuando se tiene esa edad. Lo más lindo de todo fue ver la capacidad de apoyo de sus amigos para reconciliarlos, entre una que otra situación desatinada como el momento en que Joice intentó tener una relación con Rachel a escondidas de Ross para no herirlo, pero de igual manera todo se descubrió y comprendió que ella jamás dejaría de amar a su amigo. Esa capacidad de perdonar hasta esos desaciertos sólo se alcanza cuando realmente hay una relación de amigos.
Recuerdo que en esa época tuve a mi nena y me perdí muchos capítulos. No siempre tenía chance de verlos. Luego retomé algunos en un canal por cable pero los daban en forma desordenada. Hasta que tuve Netflix y descargué todas las temporadas con sus capítulos completos en forma ordenada y tuve durante unas vacaciones un maratón de Friends diario que no se detuvo hasta que llegué al capítulo final. En total, 10 temporadas, y capítulos en total… fue lo máximo, lo disfruté increíblemente.
En mi opinión personal, Friends no sólo es una comedia de jóvenes modernos sino un historial completo de reflexiones acerca de los valores de la amistad, reflejados a través de las vidas de 6 chicos que nos demostraron que así como se pueden disfrutar buenos momentos entre amigos, los más importantes son los momentos difíciles, y es allí donde cada uno de ellos estuvo presente en la vida de los demás para apoyarlos, no dejarlos caer, o ayudarlos a levantarse si la caída era inevitable.
La sana y hermosa unión entre Rachel, Mónica, Phoebe, Ross, Joey y Chandler fue la mejor experiencia de amistad que pude disfrutar durante mi juventud, y la que cualquier joven desearía experimentar.
