Sometimes I see a movie and immediately think if the creators and creative heads of Hollywood actually have the same artistic criteria they had before, before it was unthinkable to make a sequel/reboot of a saga that was already in decay, something that is now extremely common. For example, the Transformers films started out very well and were really meant to entertain and amuse, but over the years they entered into a total decay that has dragged in new sagas, yes, I'm talking about Bumblebee.

# # Opinion # The plot of this film takes too many elements from the first Transformers film, perhaps seeking to emulate its success, unfortunately it doesn't succeed because in this story you never manage to set up a conflict worth seeing, we have very little of everything and that makes nothing stand out. Neither the action nor the drama around the characters is broad enough to develop into a film that feels too much in all the bars of the film. Instead we have a lot of confrontations between humans and Bumblebee that doesn't make sense and that are used to raise the power of a film that nearly didn't become boring.

Perhaps the most rescuable thing about this film is the use of special effects and CGI, well we know that has never been a problem in Transformer films, however doing more of the same with different characters is not always right and no matter how much you understand that these films are aimed at specific audiences who just want to see action and entertain themselves, I think that even in that I fail a little, because there are not too many action scenes, rather I think it lacked action, in fact, for not having been for that final fight almost we would not have seen Bumblebee transformed and fighting in its maximum splendor. So if you make a simple action movie but almost don't include action scenes obviously something went wrong with the script and it's obvious because this movie is called Bumblebee, but they focus more on the youth dramas of a young girl who has almost no personality to be the protagonist of this type of movies.

Anyway, as I said a moment ago, this film didn't bore me and that means that it's mediocre because I didn't think it was bad or good, I would simply define it as a film to see if there's nothing else on TV. A film that lacked strength and above all something to unite the different sub-plots that were presented to us around our giant yellow robot. This film is undoubtedly more of the same, more of the same formula that has not been going well or giving good results for years, with this film I hope they let go the Transformers and focus on creating better stories.
