# I find it hard to understand how movies like Escape Room manage to see the daylight and reach theaters, I can not understand how the creators of this film thought it would be a good idea to develop a film from a game of mystery about escapisms. Maybe I'm being very hard but the truth is that this film can not transmit a minute of entertainment.

As I said Escape Room focuses its plot on those mystery games where people are locked in different scenarios and where you have to perform all kinds of challenges to get free. Yes, that's all, in this movie we don't have any other approach or ingredient that helps the plot develop in an entertaining way, the creators focused all their efforts on creating "challenges" that are very reminiscent of those death traps we saw in SAW where people had to go to stormy ends to keep on living. During the whole duration of the film I was wondering what was the motivation of the game? Why were these people going through such horrible challenges? and above all, what happened after the people who are participating in the game overcame it? We never have a clear explanation of the motives of the people behind a game built to kill rather than be mysterious.

# Seeing a group of strangers locked up in a sinister game without explanation and for no apparent reason takes all the fun out of the plot because basically we are left with an empty, superficial film with nothing to make it stand out. I repeat the best of the movie are the recreations of the challenges because they are staged in a great way with precise details that make us feel some terror when we see the players trying to solve the challenges, however the problem is that these challenges look like carbon copies of the best scenes of SAW, the creative aspect fails a lot in this movie which makes it have no elements that differentiate it from a common bloody horror movie that we see all the time on television. #

# I'm not complaining about the direction, but about the creative decisions because there are the faults, faults that are very noticeable with the passing of the minutes when we see that the plot does not advance at all; the film basically becomes an endless scene that repeats itself from time to time, people who are dying and failing in the challenges until there are few left and they are the ones who "win". Yes, there is nothing else to highlight from this film, there are no characters that stand out because all the interpretations are empty and without any kind of charm, the truth always made no difference to me who won or who died during this "game".

It was very difficult for me to finish watching this film because the minutes passed me slowly waiting for something different to happen, something that surprised me or caught me. I didn't like the dramatic twist they tried to give the characters because you can see the desperate attempt to get us to connect with them through cliché dialogues that we've heard thousands of times and that no longer have the strength to please us. In short, I don't recommend this film at all because it's just a superficial product that lacks the suspense necessary for a plot to stand out. The initial idea of the plot was certainly not the best, but everything worsened with the little development that was wanted to build around a silly game with tedious characters.

I saw this film not that long ago and really thought it was average at best. The entire "get out of this puzzle!" horror genre has been done to death really and the development (as you said) as well as the big surprise ending just wasn't really good.

I completely agree with your low rating and maybe feel as though you might have been a little bit generous with giving that high of a score. This film is easily skippable but I'm happy to see that I am not the only person who suffered through it.
