Wow, wow, wow, today I just watched a very exciting film and has a suspenseful story. This film is entitled HUNTER KILLER which was released in 2018.
This great film from the United States was directed by Donovan Marsh and starring great actors named Gerard Butler, John Thompson, Alan Seagle and several other great actors. This film, which has a duration of 122 minutes, received a score of 6.6/10 from IMDB.
The synopsis of this film tells about the great action of the American submarine Arkansas which saved the Russian President who was being couped by his own Minister of Defense.
This is a short story from the film HUNTER KILLER
The film opens with an American submarine spying on a Russian submarine under the sea, suddenly the Russian submarine explodes which shocks the American submarine crew.
Not long afterward, a torpedo came and immediately attacked the American submarine until it exploded and landed on the seabed.
Of course, this news immediately reached the American Defense Center, namely the Pentagon, the defense ministers and also the American president immediately ordered another American submarine for a rescue mission.
However, one of the American defense officials also knew that there was something strange about the Russian president and his defense minister in Polyarny.
Polyarny was the gathering place for the Russian war fleet. While rescuing the crew of an American submarine that was drowned by torpedo fire, the American government also deployed special forces to scout and spy on what was really happening in Polyarny.
The submarine sent for this rescue mission was named USS ASKANSAS, commanded by Captain Joe Glass. Meanwhile, the special forces sent to scout Polyarny consisted of 4 people, led by Captain Bill Beaman.
When they arrived at the location where the American submarine had been hit by a torpedo, they saw that none of the American submarine crew had survived. While they were monitoring the condition of the sunken submarine, suddenly a Russian submarine hiding behind the ice shot the Arkansas submarine.
With the great direction of Captain Joe Glass, they were able to dodge and shoot back the Russian submarine using torpedoes until it was destroyed.
Here, the Arkansas submarine noticed something odd, because in the Russian submarine that exploded before the American submarine sank, they discovered that the Russian submarine's explosion came from inside the ship, not fired from outside.
And the submarine Arkansas also heard that there was a crew still alive on board the Russian submarine. Firmly, Captain Joe Glass immediately ordered the rescue of the Russian submarine crew.
Apparently some of the crew and captain of the Russian submarine were named Sergei Andropov, and they were all made prisoners of war by Captain Joe Glass.
Now the film shifts to 4 special forces from America who have arrived in Polyarny, after seeing their surveillance, the Americans finally find out that the Russian President, Zakarin, has been couped by his own Minister of Defense, Dmitry Durov.
Knowing this, the American president and his ministers immediately ordered his special troops who were in Polyarny to rescue President Zakarin.
And America also ordered its submarine Arkansas to pick up special forces and President Zakarin who they rescued in Polyarny waters.
Because getting into Polyarny was very difficult, finally Captain Joe Glass asked Captain Sergei Andropov to guide their way to avoid underwater mines and sound detectors.
After going through this difficult road, the submarine USS ASKANSAS has finally arrived in Polyarny waters. Meanwhile, 4 American special forces are currently fighting against Durov's troops to save Zakarin.
2 of the 4 special forces died in the mission to rescue Russian president Zakarin, and the only ones remaining were Commander Bill Beaman and a young Sniper named Martinelli.
After successfully rescuing President Zakarin, now the USS ASKANSAS submarine has to face a very powerful and fully armed Russian warship named Yevchenko.
And the most epic scene is shown here, it turns out that Captain Sergei Andropov, who was rescued by an American submarine, is a former captain who trained the crew of the warship Yevchenko.
After radio communication from the Arkansas submarine was connected to Yevchenko's ship, captain Sergei Andropov immediately asked his student not to open fire on the Arkansas submarine because there was a Russian president on board the American submarine, and captain Sergei Andropov also confirmed the situation of the coup carried out by traitor Durov.
And because of this tension, the American and Russian war fleets were preparing for war because the Russians in Moscow did not yet know the real situation, they thought President Zakarin had been kidnapped by American troops.
The crew of Yevchenko's ship, who were very loyal to him, finally obeyed the words of captain Sergei Andropov, while on land, Durov immediately prepared a missile and immediately shot at the Arkansas ship. With his powerful weapons, Yevchenko's ship immediately destroyed the missile which made the Arkansas submarine safe.
Then Yevchenko's warship immediately fired missiles towards where Durov and his troops were until the building suddenly exploded, killing Durov and all his troops.
After that, President Zakarin immediately contacted Moscow to tell them what really happened, and the big war that was about to occur was immediately stopped.
After President Zakarin and Captain Sergei Andropov were rescued by the Russian navy, the submarine USS ASKANSAS and the 2 special forces that survived immediately returned to America, escorted by a Russian warship.

My opinion about this film
This film is really very good and very realistic, while watching it we will be really spoiled by the various war technological prowess of America and Russia.
In this film we can see how powerful submarines are in operating both offensively and defensively, in fact every scene looks so real and without the slightest CGI effect.
All the actors also act coolly and really deepen their roles, all the tense, sad and exciting stories are mixed into one which makes this film very exciting to watch.
Because this film is great, even I don't agree with IMDB giving this film a 6.6 rating, if I worked at IMDB then I would give this great film a 9 rating.
I highly recommend this exciting film for HIVERS friends to watch because it is really very exciting.
Conclusion
Never be suspicious of other people, even if the enemy is in trouble, help them, who knows, this help will make our relationship with them better.
Just like the USS ASKANSAS submarine which helped the captain of the Russian submarine, this heroic action made relations between America and Russia more harmonious.
