Review by @artworkers · 1528d · of Everything Everywhere All at Once

When people compared this movie to the Dr.strange multi-verse of madness, I couldn't understand why.

My first impression of the movie before I watched it, was from the movie poster from where I thought it was a magic-related movie that probably had things popping out everywhere every time all at once. Well, I was wrong.

Everything Everywhere all at once, is a movie directed by Dan Kwan and Daniel scheinert. It tells the story of a woman, Evelyn Wang, who is used to being in control of everything, as she gets overwhelmed by every single thing in her life all at once thing. Including her reality.

It focuses on Everlyn, as she tries to restore order to her life which is split into infinite reality, as she tries to escape her interdimensional assailant.

Will she escape her assailant or will she be overwhelmed by the great evil that lurks in the interdimensional space??

Movie's Main characters.

  • Everlyn Wang.: Everlyn Wang is a mother of one, and the daughter of Gong Gong (her father). She struggles to maintain the activities of her business and her home with her husband always by her side, and her daughter constantly against her.

  • Joy Wang: Joy Wang is the daughter of Everlyn Wong. She has a rocky relationship with her mother due to her mother's extreme disapproval of her lifestyle.

  • Waymond Wang:  Waymond Wong is the loyal husband of Everlyn. He makes himself steadily available to Everlyn emotionally and physically, assisting her in the business routine and other home activities. But despite all his help and support, he decides to file for a divorce, not because he doesn't love Everlyn. But because he feels she is way too invested in the business than in their marriage.

  • Gong Gong: Going Gong is Everlyn's father. Whose whole life is sentenced to a wheelchair? He is also a man who likes to be in control of situations all the time. A no-nonsense Man. Gong Gong always wanted to have a son but it never happened. Instead, he got Everlyn. He also strongly disapproves of Everlyn's marriage with Waymond.

What do I like about this movie.

Firstly, I'd like to point out that this movie doesn't have a Dwanye D'Rock Johnson in it. It doesn't have a Chadwick Bossman or an Elizabeth Olsen. It also doesn't have an iron man or a Captain America. But what it has is action, drama, love, comedy, interdimensional reality theories, and application. And a powerful storyline.

Now, what do I like about this movie? Well, there's nothing to hate about this movie except if you are looking for something to hate, then you'll find something to hate.

But what I do like about this movie, is the fight scenes and the inter-dimensional mind-warping or dimensional traveling.

The movie came out with its perspective on how dimensional travel should be done. It was creative thinking, as in the movie, whoever wishes to travel to another dimension must exhibit a character trait similar to their counterpart on one of the existing Earths in the multiverse.

The fighting is extremely fantastic, with no single dull moment. The intensity of the action was carried along from the beginning of the fight to the end. The use of the camera to assist the storytelling and action sequences was just perfect, even the dimensional travel video effect is something to be proud of.

What do I dislike. The only thing I can say I  dislike is one of the dimensions Everlyn travels to. Where they didn't have fingers. Instead, they had hotdogs or something that was used in replacement of fingers, and that was definitely disturbing to me.

I just couldn't mentally process it...at all. I just kept asking myself, Why?!

Despite my dislike, this showed the writer's dedication to building a thought or an idea into something beyond the scope of rational thinking.

Finally, the movie Everything Everywhere all at once, is a mix of everything good. There is everything for everyone and anyone. Despite your taste, preference, or genre, there's something in this movie for you. If you are a lover of drama, love, kung fu, and the multiverse. Then you should waste no time. This movie is for you.

    I really enjoyed your review!

Just as there are people who like sci-fi, action, comedy, drama, romance, maybe there are people who like to see characters with sausage fingers, they will surely be happy....

Another thing, the rules, the different universes, how they are seen or judged by those who are from the alpha universe, is what I liked about the universe where the story takes place because despite the imperfection, there is a great potential to achieve many things, of course when we have the opportunity to do them.

I liked "If you're looking for something to hate, you'll find it", sorry if I paraphrase what you wrote in your post, but I didn't find anything wrong with the film and the negative reviews I've read, I don't find any basis for it.

I've already seen several ads for this movie, and many recommendations, but even so it has been something that has not caught my attention, since as such I had not started to investigate what this movie was about, but the truth is that it is already making me curious, so I think I should stop beating around the bush and see it once and for all. as you describe it here, it seems quite interesting.

I've certainly found your writing very good. greetings @artworkers!
