They helped him kill himself. And so is happening every day around the world.

There are many different professions and responsibilities around the world. But the most difficult of them are those that are directly related to the life and death of man. What is it like to realize that you have the fate of people in your hands? It's hard. The same we see in the film "The Green mile", where the protagonist Paul (Tom Hanks) works as a warden in prison and one of the perpetrators of the death penalty. It is he and his colleagues who lead the suicide bombers on their last journey from the chamber to the electric chair. This corridor, covered with green path, and is called on the local jargon "green miles."

People behave very differently in anticipation of death. Someone becomes reserved, someone produces out their anger on the whole world, knowing that worse is simply cannot be. But such prisoners as John Coffey (Michael Clark Duncan), Paul has never met. This huge African American is accused of rape and murder of two girls of twelve years. But despite his mighty stature, John did not like the man who could commit such a crime. And not because he yells for hours like other prisoners, because he's innocent. He's just kind. So much so that the common man it seems impossible and unrealistic.

This mighty prisoner has another very unusual feature — the Gift of healing. At the same time, John uses it almost all because it is full of love for all living things. After meeting John Coffey in the life of Paul a lot begins to go differently. And although the warden is convinced that John is not guilty of such a terrible and bloody crime, nothing can be done about it. His responsibilities included something other than trial and previsioning of judicial decisions. He's just their executor. What is most surprising, Coffey humbly accepts his sentence and regrets only that he did not have time to save those two girls after someone's bloody celebration.

Unmarked picture is just magical, no other word for it even. Well, how else can one explain the fact that, in principle, not dynamic film passes unnoticed for three hours? Of course, in the movie "the Green mile" the whole emphasis is not on dynamics, but the plot and the game's cast.

First, of course, affects himself Tom Hanks with his skill to convey to the audience his hero. Looking at his game, you begin to believe that he worked all his life in prison. And not just in prison, and accompanied the criminals on the electric chair. He is not overacting, no unnecessary pathos and theatrical movements, too compassionate face and what you can expect in these scenes. But nothing like this happens. Tom's hero is extremely collected, reserved and Executive. His face expresses almost nothing (especially sympathy). It becomes immediately clear that he has worked in this position for many years and all the emotions disappeared beyond necessity. Michael Clarke Duncan played quite well and sometimes even very good, which made him and Hanks great acting pair.

The painting was a success on all hundred. The Director is incredibly accurately conveys the novel by Stephen king, not crippling, as it is like in Hollywood, fact. Most importantly, the author tried to convey even minor details of the work, so that the film turned out to be holistic and interesting. Such a tape is not a pity to spend three hours of your time.
