Mi hermana me recomendó esta película sacada al aire en el 2022 y es transmitida por Netflix. Mi hermana no la entendió mucho pero de igual manera sugirió verla. Cuando alguien me dice que no entiende la trama pero te asegura: ¡Es buena!, más me entusiasmo.

Comenzaré hablando sobre el titulo de esta película. El Prodigio. Prodigio se refiere a algo inexplicable, una situación extraordinaria atribuida a la naturaleza, al Ser Supremo, Dios.
Partiendo de esta definición pude inferir que se trataba de un evento sobrenatural impactando en una ciudad de Irlanda en una época específica, en este caso 1862.
Así tal cual comienza la historia de esta película. Una joven enfermera, en un momento difícil dado el problema de la hambruna y migración, es enviada a una ciudad de Irlanda para un trabajo especial.
Vale destacar que Irlanda es un país que exalta la religión cristiana y la interpreta de manera literal. Es decir, está presente la cultura religiosa y se hace "todo" por "ella".

Es en este punto donde más quisiera enfocarme. Es esta película hay demasiada intriga y suspenso. Desde que comienza hasta que termina todo se envuelve en un gran misterio.
Primero, un grupo de expertos formando un equipo de trabajo con un interés común pero, cada uno apostando a su propio éxito. Científico, médico, investigador, religioso y hasta un político se muestran hambriento para sacar provecho de una situación.
El Prodigio o asunto sobrenatural involucra a una joven adolescente quien no ha probado bocado desde hace cuatro meses y se mantiene en perfecto estado de salud. ¿Cómo explicar tal fenómeno?
Es aquí cuando la joven involucrada se vuelve famosa, todos quieren saber de ella, acercarse, tocarla, hablarle... todos, por curiosidad, preocupación, intriga u otra razón quieren saber las causas por las cuales la jovencita no se deteriora.
