I think I am a lover of animated movies, Disney stories fascinate me. In all stages of my life I have seen one of this style and I assure you that it has left indelible marks. It is beautiful to feel like a child, every time I see something that activates my memories, I return to the magic of dreaming. As adults we become strict with dreams, as children we let our imagination fly without wasting time. The difference between watching a movie as a child and when we grow up is undoubtedly the way we interpret the content of the scenes. It is obvious that our level of analysis evolves with time. The animated films I watched as a child, I understood better as an adult. However, the connection between one stage and another was always present.
Creo ser amante de las películas animadas, los cuentos de Disney me fascinan. En todas las etapas de mi vida he visto una de este estilo y aseguro que ha dejado huellas imborrables. Es hermoso sentirse niña, cada vez que veo algo que activa mis recuerdos, vuelvo a la magia de soñar. Como adultos nos volvemos estrictos con los sueños, cuando niños dejamos volar la imaginación si perder tiempo. La diferencia entre mirar una película estando niños a cuando crecemos es sin duda, la manera de interpretar el contenido de las escenas. Es obvio que nuestro nivel de análisis evoluciona con el tiempo. Las películas animadas que miré de niña, las entendí mejor como adulta. Sin embargo, la conexión entre una etapa y otra siempre estuvo presente.
My mother used to say that animated movies help develop creativity. My father says, an animated movie should be watched as a family because it always leaves a life lesson for everyone, each character can represent a member and by seeing ourselves reflected we could improve relationships. I kept both ideas, both were meaningful.
Mi madre solía decir que las películas animadas ayudan a desarrollar la creatividad. Mi padre dice, una película animada debe verse en familia porque siempre deja una lección de vida para todos, cada personaje puede representar a un miembro y al vernos reflejados podríamos mejorar relaciones. Me quedé con ambas ideas, las dos fueron significativas.
The movie that I will present today is called "Unidos" in Spanish "Onward" is an extraordinary animated film whose genre is fantasy which takes place in a context covered with endless adventures. The film was produced by Pixar and Walt Disney Pictures. It can be said that its release is recent since it was in March 2020 when it was announced.
La película que les presentaré hoy se titula “Unidos” en Hispanoamérica “Onward” es una extraordinaria película animada cuyo género es fantasía el cual se desarrolla en un contexto cubierto de un sin fin de aventuras. La película fue producida por Pixar y Walt Disney Pictures. Se puede decir que su estreno es reciente ya que fue en Marzo del 2020 cuando se dio a conocer.
Disney's new story moves us in the land of adventure. It is worth getting involved in that world of mythological creatures such as centaurs, cyclops, elves, or trolls through animated series. We know that where there is mythology, magic vibrates.
La nueva historia de Disney nos mueve en tierra de aventuras. Vale la pena envolverse en ese mundo de criaturas mitológicas como centauros, ciclopes, elfos, o troles a través de series animadas. Sabemos que donde hay mitología vibra la magia.
Ian is the main character, he is represented by an elf with a certain shyness, very quiet and introverted. Ian Lightfoot lives with his mother and an older brother named Barley, a young man focused on stories of his land and his ancestors, his dream is to see his people returning to their roots.
Ian es el personaje principal, es representado por un elfo con cierta timidez, muy callado e introvertido. Ian Lightfoot vive junto a su madre y un hermano mayor llamado Barley, un joven enfocado en historias de su tierra y sus ancestros, su sueño es ver a su gente retomando sus raíces.
Ian, in the midst of adolescence, takes his age very seriously. As of his sixteenth birthday, he decides to transform his life, so it is obvious that he must set some goals and objectives, among them to socialize a little more, meet more people and also get his driver's license. Ian's mother, wise, intuitive, knew how to handle the situation. In one of Ian's depressive moments, his mother decided to give him a gift left by his father. The only condition for the gift was that both brothers had to be over 16 years old. Well, it was a staff, a magic stone and a letter where he left them some magic to bring him back to life for a day in case they needed it.
La madre de Ian, sabia, intuitiva, sabía como manejar la situación. En uno de los momentos depresivo de Ian la madre decide entregarle un regalo dejado por su padre. La única condición de entrega era que ambos hermanos tuvieran más de 16 años ¿Cuál era el regalo y cuál su significado? Pues, se trataba de un báculo, una piedra mágica y una carta donde les dejaba cierta magia para traerlo de vuelta a la vida por un día en caso de necesitarlo.
Ian was even more surprised, he had never met his father and it was his wish to know about him.
Mayor sorpresa la de Ian, no había conocido a su padre y era su deseo saber de él.
The first to try to bring his father back was Barley, he followed the spell instructions to the letter but was unsuccessful. It was Ian's turn who decided to be alone in a room. When he invoked the spell Ian noticed something strange in the Gem, something was shining in front of his eyes, then he saw a human figure, it was him, Ian's father who appeared but the spell was interrupted, it was incomplete as well as the image of his father was incomplete, he could only see from the waist down. In order to see the father figure completely, the brothers had to look for another gem, the first one had broken. The task would not be easy, these gems are very rare and difficult to obtain, they had to think well.
El primero en intentar traer de vuelta a su padre fue Barley, siguió al pie de la letra las instrucciones de hechizo pero, no fue exitoso. Era el turno de Ian quien decide estar solo en un cuarto. Cuando invoca el hechizo Ian nota algo extraño en la Gema, algo brillaba frente a sus ojos, luego ve una figura humana, era él, el.padre de Ian quien aparecía pero el hechizo se interrumpe, queda incompleto así como quedó incompleto la imagen del papá, solo se veía de la cintura para abajo. Para lograr ver completamente la figura paterna debían los hermanos buscar otra Gema, la primera se había roto. La tarea no sería fácil, esas gemas son muy raras y difíciles de conseguir, tocaba pensar bien.
Barley was a connoisseur of magical objects, to replace the Gem he knew of some places where to find it. He proposed to Ian to go to a place called the tavern of the manticore, there they would find a legendary woman who knew places where they could get magic items. When they arrived at the place indicated by Barley, they noticed that Corey the manticore's tavern was already a familiar place and not a place of adventure where they would find magical objects.
Barley era un conocedor de objetos mágicos, para reponer la Gema sabía de algunos lugares donde encontrarla. Propone a Ian ir a un lugar llamado la taberna de la mantícora, allí encontrarían a una mujer legendaria conocedora de lugares donde podían conseguir objetos mágicos. Al llegar al lugar señalado por Barley notan que ya la taberna de Corey la manticora era un lugar familiar y no un lugar de aventuras donde hallaría objetos mágicos.
The hope of getting the Gem with Corey dies when she refuses to help them with a map that could direct them to the right place. Faced with the unexpected situation, Ian has the witticism to wrap Corey up, boldly reminding her of her past and her exploits as a great legendary adventurer. With a sudden loss of identity Corey destroys his entire world and with it, the map that marked the route to the location of the magical gem.
La esperanza de conseguir la Gema con Corey muere cuando ella se niega a ayudarles con un mapa que podía dirigirlos al lugar indicado. Ante la inesperada situación, Ian tiene la ocurrencia de envolver a Corey, con audacia le recuerda su pasado y sus hazañas como una gran legendaria aventurera. Con una repentina pérdida de identidad Corey destruye todo su mundo y con él, el mapa que señalaba la ruta de ubicación de la gema mágica.
Both brothers insist on finding the Gem, they do not give up, now they turn to a map that they had kept since they were children, there they locate the place where the gem is located.
