Nigerian movies are really doing an amazing job in the movie industry and a lot of interesting movies have come out this year and are still coming out. Blood sisters is of this interesting movies that have been released. Mind you blood sister was released in the year 2022 for the very first season and the second season was released this year which is 2026.
The movie blood sisters is one of Nigerian movies that reveals a lot of secrets, betrayal, strong friendship, bonds family and survival.The key actors are Ini Dima okojie as Sarah Duru. Nancy Isime as Kemi Sanya. Uche jombo as Amina. Kate Henshaw as Uduak Ademola.
It all started off with a wedding creating a very cool and romantic scene but then a tensed plot twist . Happiness can be a fasade only if you look well and deep you will understand.A lot really happened in this movie behind the surface. Kemi and Sarah are two close friends who happend to find themselves in a very difficult corner. Sarah who has been in a toxic relationship which got more dangerous. One thing that caught my attention was kemi we all need friends like kemi who would stand up for us anytime any day. She was never the type to watch her friend suffer , she stood by her when things got rough.
In some relationships it's the more you look BB the less you see, this can be said for Sarah and Kolas relationship, everyone looking at it from the outside will call them the perfect couple, he had this niche for maintain excellence and being perfect when it comes to his relationship in public health he has totally toxic side of him he hide so well. For me it was a turn off for me because I hate men that beat up women. It simply shows that looks can be deciving.
After the incident at the wedding, it was pure chaos and tension. I literally felt sorry for them because I imagine myself in their situation. To be honest they really cooked up strange ideas in their heads. The story line became more tensed at this point. The girls kept making frustrating decisions I literally got frustrated with them. They all needed to survive.
Let's talk about the Ademola family a very strong and influencial family. The made up a huge part of the storyline. Moving further into the movie you will realise that this family had dark secrets surrounding them. Having money and being rich made their life's more complicated. We live in a country and society where it is difficult to fight the rich. If you are not up to their standards.
You know when people have things to hide ,they become tensed and start lieing against eachother. The investigation made me ask who exactly is being truthful, so many secrets where revealed as the investigation continued. Journeying into the season 2 it became more interesting.
In the season 2 we see the trials and them being sentenced to prison, the betrayal that happens within the prison walls. Real warri pikin acting as the bully in the prison gave Sarah and kemi a tough time as they paid for the consequences of their past. In the prison everyone had to fight for themselves to survive.
Their friendship was highly tested in season two even the strongest friendship cannot withstand trauma and difficulty situations. It made me wonder if some of my friendships can withstand that kind of test , despite everything they have been through.
Sharah and kemi kept running into different problems they think they left behind, something else will always pop up. Udak the ever determined woman was so determined to get revenge. The season 2 was more intense than the first. The betrayal and lies , everyone has something up their sleeve.
At the end of the day came me and Sandra friendship stood the test of time have they defeated uduak I would say it was a good movie and I really enjoyed it I would recommend it to anyone who loves suspends action who is a little bit emotional to go check it out you definitely learn a lot.
