I saw a comment on the last movie I reviewed about my love for horror movies I don't really know but I love them so much . I find them intriguing and exciting to watch , I love the suspense and the horror. Am currently in under going acting classes and they help me learn more.
The last house, this is a movie that gets you glued to your sit immediately it starts it is directed by Louis Leterrier and featuring Greta Lee and Wagner. In this movie we see a family of 4 who are trapped in their home. Locked up in suspense being shot out from the real the world.
The plot twist is the movie is intense as the family is confused about why extracly they are trapped and there is confusion and chaos everywhere, claustrophobia begins to set in gradually food runs low , the once beautiful home suddenly feels like leaving in bondage. Every single attempt to solve the puzzle proves abortive . Making the audience stay in suspense alongside the family.
Some characters that stand out for me in the movie they performances trying to still be the understanding parents in the midst of the chaos is really amazing. The feeling and pressure that comes with being in a trapped house began taking its toll on them and began to affect their relationship. And they still do a good job in protecting their children and maintaining strong chemistry.
In this film we see the idea of survival was just staying inside and protecting the family. But as the movie progresses they are faced with the challenge of either going out to face the danger outside or hiding inside the house .The house suddenly becomes a place of threat
The last part begins to loss some strength. The mystery. Some of the mystery is interesting. Several questions are raised without recieving completely convincing answer and some of the later developments are more complicated than necessary. The movie is criticized some underplayed mystery. The performance from Greta Lee and Wagner Moura in this movie gives the story the emotional foundation that was needed as it made every scene look ordinary situations feel dangerous and tensed up .
The Delgado family eventually manages to capture one of the strange aquatic creatures that has been keeping them trapped inside their house. Jason wants to kill it because the creatures have caused them years of suffering, but Ruth convinces him to show it mercy.
The creature apparently communicates with the others, and the family is finally allowed to leave the house. By this point, the outside world has been almost completely flooded, and their old home collapses after they escape. It brought tears to my eyes that they named the boat they used to escape after their dead dog Cassidy.
The family being locked trapped up in their own house in their own home fighting and unknown force prevents them from escaping is very scary that it will keep you all intrigued.. The last house is good to watch as it incudes survival horror if you are lover haunted mansion movies you will love this.
