Hello, internet people! Is everything ok? Today I want to tell you about this film that I found quite beautiful. It has some pluses and some minuses, but I think the reviews are pretty linear and that overall, it's a good film.
¡Hola, gente de internet! ¿Todo bien? Hoy quiero hablarles de esta película que la verdad me pareció bastante bonita. Tiene algunos puntos a favor y otros en contra pero creo que las críticas están bastante lineales y que en parámetros generales, es una buena película
The cinematography and aesthetics of the film are incredibly beautiful, it is set in Southeast Asia, so the landscapes are a reference to countries like Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, etc. The shots are beautiful and the way in which the animation works the lights and shadows is excellent.
La fotografía y estética de la película es increíblemente hermosa, está ambientada en el sudeste asiático por lo que los paisajes son referencia de países como Camboya, Indonesia, Tailandia, etc. Los planos son preciosos y la forma en la que en la animación trabaja las luces y sombras, es excelsa.
The story (in my humble opinion) is the most beautiful and most valuable, because it shows us an utopian world that is destroyed by the greed and ambition of humans, the hope is placed in the hands (or paws) of the last dragon on earth whose real job is to make all humans trust each other so they can work together for a better world.
La historia (en mi humilde opinión) es lo más bonito y de mayor valor, pues, nos muestran un mundo utópico que es destruido por la avaricia y ambición de los humanos, la esperanza está puesta en las manos (o patas) del último dragón existente en la tierra cuyo trabajo real es hacer que todos los humanos confíen los unos en los otros para poder trabajar juntos por un mundo mejor.
The film shows us what the world would be like if we all worked for a better world (honestly and sadly an utopia) but the truth is that the message is quite beautiful and even more so if we look at the fact that is aimed at the children who will be the adults of tomorrow.
La película nos muestra como sería el mundo si todos trabajásemos por un mundo mejor (honesta y tristemente una utopía) pero la verdad el mensaje es bastante bonito y más aún si nos fijamos que está dirigido a los niños que serán los adultos del mañana.
I loved the soundtrack, it's perfect for the film but I honestly think Disney has very good composers, as for the main theme, I love the Korean and English versions because of their interpreters whose voices are beautiful.
El soundtrack me encantó, es perfecto para la película pero es que a decir verdad Disney tiene muy buenos compositores, en cuanto al tema principal, me encantan las versiones en coreano e inglés por sus interpretes cuyas voces son preciosas.
Another thing I liked about the film is that the main character is far from perfect and this makes it easier to empathise and identify with her, despite her determination and bravery she makes serious mistakes and at every moment of her adventure we can feel her emotions as if they were our own.
Otra de las cosas que me gustó de la película es que su protagonista está lejos de ser perfecta y esto hace que sea más sencillo empatizar e identificarnos con ella, pese a su determinación y valentía comete errores graves y en cada momento de su aventura podemos sentir sus emociones como si fuesen propias.
My favourite character is undoubtedly the dragon, she has good dialogue and jokes, her personality is funny and attractive and although at first glance she seems crazy and takes away the mysticism that we have seen created around her, deep down she thinks beyond humans and understands what others don't, although at first glance her way of thinking causes some inconveniences to Raya.
Mi personaje preferido sin lugar a dudas es la dragón, tiene buenos dialogos y chistes, su personalidad es graciosa y atractiva, y aunque a simple vista parece una loca y le quita el misticismo que venimos viendo que se creó alrededor de ella, en el fondo claro que piensa más allá que los humanos y entiende lo que otros no, aunque a simple vista su modo de pensar le cause algunos inconvenientes a Raya.
One thing I didn't really like was the design of some characters like Raya and Sisu, they feel like recycled Moana and Frozen respectively, since Raya is like Moana but Asian (from the east) and Sisu has the face of Elza from Frozen, supposedly the latter is a nod to Frozen because the artists are the same from that movie but to me it looks like recycling.
Una cosa que no me gustó mucho fue el diseño de algunos personajes como lo son Raya y Sisu, se sienten como refritos de Moana y Frozen respectivamente, ya que Raya es como Moana pero asiática (del este) y Sisu tiene la cara de Elza de Frozen, supuestamente esto último es un guiño a Frozen porque los artistas son los mismos de esa película pero a mí me parece reciclaje del bueno.
