Hola comunidad, hoy les hablaré de “No miren arriba” una película muy peculiar que vi hace dos días, la puedes conseguir en Netflix, es protagonizada por Leonardo DiCaprio y Jennifer Lawrence aunque entre su elenco podemos conseguir una gran cantidad de estrellas como Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Rob Morgan, Mark Rylance, Melanina Lynskey, Timothée Chalamet, Tyler Perry, Ariana Grande y Kid Cudi. Su director, productor y guionista es Adam Mckay. La verdad no soy amantes de sus películas creo que la única que he visto es policías de repuesto o The Other Guys en inglés, el tipo de comedia que transmite en sus obras no es de mi agrado pero me atreví a ver esta producción y ya les contaré.
Hello community, today I will talk to you about “Don't look up” a very peculiar movie that I saw two days ago, you can get it on Netflix, it is starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence although among its cast we can get a lot of stars like Meryl Streep , Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Rob Morgan, Mark Rylance, Melanina Lynskey, Timothée Chalamet, Tyler Perry, Ariana Grande, and Kid Cudi. Its director, producer and screenwriter is Adam Mckay. The truth is, I am not lovers of his films, I think the only thing I have seen is spare police officers or The Other Guys in English, the type of comedy that he transmits in his works is not to my liking but I dared to see this production and they already I will count.
Esta película se centra en Kate Dibiasky (Lawrence) una estudiante de doctorado en astronomía y su profesor el Doctor Randall Mindy (DiCaprio), ellos son unas personas comunes que hacen su trabajo desde un laboratorio de la Universidad. Kate, descubre un cometa y al consultar con el Profesor Mindy, haciendo los cálculos determinan que el cometa se dirige hacia la tierra, que mide entre 6 a 9 kilómetros e impactará en 6 meses, este cometa sería igual de devastador que el meteorito que acabó con los dinosaurios, en ese instante contactan con la NASA y son conectados con el Doctor Teddy (Rob Morgan), Jefe de la Oficina de Coordinación de la Defensa Planetaria de la NASA, una oficina que los personajes ni sabían que existía. Hasta aquí todo era muy serio, una de esas película apocalípticas que nos encanta y siempre hay un héroe como en “Armageddon” que salva la tierra, pensé que iba a ver una película así. Pero no!
This film focuses on Kate Dibiasky (Lawrence) a PhD student in astronomy and her professor Doctor Randall Mindy (DiCaprio), they are ordinary people who do their work from a University laboratory. Kate, discovers a comet and when consulting with Professor Mindy, doing the calculations they determine that the comet is heading towards the earth, which measures between 6 and 9 kilometers and will impact in 6 months, this comet would be just as devastating as the meteorite that ended with the dinosaurs, at that moment they contact NASA and are connected with Doctor Teddy (Rob Morgan), Chief of NASA's Planetary Defense Coordination Office, an office that the characters did not even know existed. So far everything was very serious, one of those apocalyptic movies that we love and there is always a hero like in "Armageddon" who saves the earth, I thought I was going to see a movie like that. But not!
De aquí en adelante es donde yo me decía, no puede ser! Pasaban cosas tan locas que no sabía si reírme o dejar de ver, pero como quería saber como terminaba y si el cometa chocaba con la tierra o lo iban a desviar, seguí disfrutando del film. Cuando nuestros personajes llegan a la Casa Blanca para informar a la presidenta Janie Orlean (Meryl Streep) nos damos cuenta que es una mujer muy materialista, farandulera y despreocupada, en la reunión también se encuentra Jason Orlean (Jonah Hill) Jefe de Gabinete de la Casa Blanca que por cierto es hijo de la presidenta, se puede decir que es un negocio de familia. En esa primera reunión todo es una locura, las burlas, el desinterés y todo era más importante que saber que la tierra se iba a destruir en 6 meses y no importaba si estaba comprobado que iba a pasar porque se menosprecia el trabajo de profesionales por no venir de una gran universidad como Harvard.

In that first meeting everything is crazy, the teasing, the disinterest and everything was more important than knowing that the earth was going to be destroyed in 6 months and it did not matter if it was proven that it was going to happen because the work of professionals is despised for not come from a great university like Harvard.
Como no fueron tomados en serio en la Casa Blanca, el equipo se plantea informar al mundo por periódicos y televisión lo que está pasando y de esta manera obligar al gobierno hacer algo para evitar que el cometa impacte con la tierra, pero al presentarse en un programa de noticias y farándula conducido por Brie Evantee (Cate Blanchett) y Jack Bremmer (Tyler Perry) fueron tratados de la misma forma. Estamos viviendo en un mundo donde nos importan más las rupturas amorosas de los artistas que informarnos de las cosas importantes, yo creo que durante la entrevista me sentí igual de ofendida que Kate y creo que también hubiera tenido un ataque de histeria, al saber que a nadie le importa que el mundo se va a acabar y que todos vamos a morir, es un sentimiento de frustración por no poder hacer nada. Pero aquí empieza a tomar importancia las redes sociales, esas que a todo le hacen un meme, sin conocer la verdad y sin importarle nada, vivimos en un mundo totalmente insensible.

Cuando ya no se puede ocultar la verdad del cometa Dibiasky llamado así en honor y Kate, las redes sociales se vuelven viral con mensajes para que todos puedan observar en el cielo, entonces el gobierno empieza otra campaña #Nomiresarriba, me da risa esto porque refleja la realidad, los gobiernos a veces quieren tapar la verdad con un dedo y todo con ayuda de los medios de comunicación y puede que les funcione por un tiempo pero siempre todo sale a la luz. Al sentirse presionada la Presidenta decide que es momento de hacer algo para desviar el cometa, me pareció una parodia de las películas como la que nombre al principio “Armageddon” con todo y héroe incluido, en una era en la que ya no es necesario, pero bueno me pareció cómico.

Cuando entra en escena la tecnología de mano de Peter Isherwell (Mark Rylance) el genio tecnológico que al oírlo y verlo, se me pareció a Chester V, el villano de lluvia de hamburguesas 2, puede que haya sido inspirado en este personaje, no lo sé, pero bueno luego de su aparición empieza a ser más importante la ambición que la salvación de la humanidad. Los planes cambian y todo se deja en manos de este personaje y la creación de nueva tecnología, que suena bien y creíble, puede que tengan éxito y la tierra se salve y además se obtenga un beneficio económico. Otra vez los medios de comunicación forman parte importante de crear y fomentar una opinión en la población, claro el Doctor Randall Mindy ayuda a insertar ideas en el ciudadano. Al principio el Doctor Mindy era un hombre con inseguridades pero al ser considerado el científico más sexy, luego de su aparición en la entrevista con Brie Evantee (Cate Blanchett), la fama le hace tomar decisiones en contra de su moral, como dicen por ahí, la fama se le subió al cerebro. Se preguntaran donde entra Arianna Grande y Kid Cudi en todo esto, bueno ellos cantan la canción para incentivar a los ciudadanos a mirar hacia arriba, me encantó la canción, no se puede negar que Arianna Grande es estupenda, se veía fantástica.

At first, Doctor Mindy was a man with insecurities but being considered the sexiest scientist, after his appearance in the interview with Brie Evantee (Cate Blanchett), fame makes him make decisions against his morals, as they say around there , fame went to his brain. You will wonder where Arianna Grande and Kid Cudi come in in all this, well they sing the song to encourage citizens to look up, I loved the song, there is no denying that Arianna Grande is great, she looked fantastic.
Para culminar y no contarles el final, tendrán que ver la película para saber si Peter Isherwell logra su cometido, puedo decir que mi escena favorita es cuando los protagonistas ya tranquilos por haber hecho lo que tenían que hacer, se sientan a la mesa y Yule (Timothée Chalamet) realiza una oración para agradecer a Dios. Me gustó mucho que se incluyera una escena como esta en la película, por que después de ver tanta falta de ética, egoísmo, indiferencia y manipulación, fue como un alivio saber que todavía hay personas que tienen creencias religiosas. Para clasificar esta película le pondría 6/10 por como muestra en lo que se ha convertido la sociedad, por todo lo que me hizo reflexionar y que les comente anteriormente.
To culminate and not tell you the end, you will have to see the film to know if Peter Isherwell achieves his mission, I can say that my favorite scene is when the protagonists, already calm for having done what they had to do, sit down at the table and Yule (Timothée Chalamet) says a prayer to thank God. I really liked that a scene like this was included in the film, because after seeing so much unethical, selfish, indifferent and manipulative, it was like a relief to know that there are still people who have religious beliefs. To classify this film I would give it 6/10 as a sample of what society has become, for everything that made me reflect and that I mentioned earlier.
