No importa cuantas películas veas, siempre van a existir aquellas que no conocías y por lo tanto nunca las habías visto, eso es una de las cosas que me encanta de ver películas. Hoy les hablaré de una que a pesar de ser del año 2006 y protagonizada por actores muy populares como lo son Sandra Bullock y Keanu Reeves, yo nunca la había vista. Es más, hasta hace poco no sabía que existía ni de qué se trataba y es que cuando pasaba por el menú de la programación y leía el nombre La casa del Lago, me imaginaba que era una película de terror. No sé porqué tenía esta idea, tal vez la asociaba con otras de nombres parecidos. No tengo idea.
Esta es una película que me dejó pensando durante todo un día, solo para entender que era lo que estaba pasando y es que su trama es un poco complicada de comprender, todavía no se si la entendí totalmente 🙃.
Trama
Kate (Sandra Bullock) vivió en una linda casa a orillas de un lago, cuando decide mudarse para Chicago, deja en el buzón una carta dando algunas instrucciones al nuevo inquilino. Ese nuevo inquilino es Alex (Keanu Reeves) quien al leer la carta no la encuentra coherente con el momento en el que vive. Él responde la carta y de esta manera se siguen comunicando por medio del buzón. Hasta darse cuenta que están viviendo a dos años de diferencia, Alex en el 2004 y Kate en el 2006. Con el intercambio de cartas empiezan a enamorarse y a buscar una manera de encontrarse.
Opinión
No hablaré de las actuaciones de los protagonistas porque sería redundar en lo profesionales que son, aunque no soy fanática obsesiva de ninguno de los dos, puedo aceptar que son muy buenos en lo que hacen y que he visto tal cual película, aunque esta puede ser una de las razones por la que no había visto esta. A demás que Keanu se ve más atractivo en esta película que en otras que he vistos (es mi percepción).
Ahora si hablemos de la película en sí. Bueno, es un drama romántico entre dos personas que viven en distintos años, pero aún así tratan de encontrarse y buscar una solución a los problemas que se les presentan.
Que difícil es ponerse de acuerdo con una persona que no vive en tu mismo tiempo
Debemos tener en cuenta que para que se encuentren, uno de ellos debe saber que estaba haciendo un día específico hace dos años, pero eso no es todo, porque también se debe tener en consideración que hace dos años esa persona no sabia que iba a conocer al amor de su vida dos años después, entonces lo puede tener en frente y no lo va a reconocer. Así como también la otra persona que esta dos años atrás pues no sabe que pueda estar haciendo dos años en el futuro. Es complicado.
Toda esta situación vuelve a la película confusa y difícil de comprender, se debe prestar mucha atención a cada paso de los protagonistas y lo que dicen en cada una de sus cartas.
Como dije al principio todavía no se si entendí como llegamos al final, tampoco se si se pasaron de rebuscados y por está razón quede confundida y buscando respuestas en mi memoria después de terminar de ver la película o tal vez necesite verla por segunda vez.
Para concluir no se decir si me gusto o no. Hay escenas donde como fanática de las películas románticas me sentía enamorada de ver a Alex tratando de buscar la manera de acercarse a Kate (la que no sabía quién era él) o ver a Kate preocupada por Alex y salvándole la vida (esta fue la parte que no entendí).
Como no es una película nueva, espero que muchos en la comunidad la hayan visto y puedan compartir conmigo sus impresiones, puede ser que tengan más claro como o porque pasaron las cosas.

In fact, until recently I didn’t even know it existed or what it was about, and when I went through the programming menu and read the name La casa del Lago, I imagined it was a horror movie. I don’t know why I had this idea, maybe I associated it with others with similar names. I have no idea.
This is a movie that left me thinking for a whole day, just to understand what was going on and it’s plot is a bit complicated to understand, I still don’t know if I fully understood it 🙃.
Plot
Kate (Sandra Bullock) lived in a nice house by a lake, when she decides to move for Chicago, she leaves a letter in the mailbox giving some instructions to the new tenant. That new tenant is Alex (Keanu Reeves) who, upon reading the letter, does not find it coherent with the moment in which he lives. He answers the letter and so they continue to communicate through the mailbox. Until they realice that they are living two years apart, Alex in 2004 and Kate in 2006. With the exchange of letters they begin to fall in love and look for a way to find each other.
Opinion
I will not talk about the performances of the protagonists because it would be redundant in how professional they are, although I am not an obsessive fan of either, I can accept that they are very good at what they do and that I have seen such a film, although this may be one of the reasons why I had not seen this one. Besides Keanu looks more attractive in this movie than in others I have seen (that’s my perception).
Now let’s talk about the movie itself. Well, it’s a romantic drama between two people who live in different years, but still try to find each other and look for a solution to the problems they face.
How difficult it is to agree with a person who does not live in your same time
We must keep in mind that for them to meet, one of them must know what he was doing a specific day two years ago, but that’s not all, because you must also take into consideration that two years ago that person did not know that he was going to meet the love of his life two years later, then he can have him in front of him and he will not recognize him. Just as the other person who is two years behind does not know what he/she will be doing two years in the future. It is complicated.
This whole situation makes the film confusing and difficult to understand, you have to pay close attention to each step of the protagonists and what they say in each of their letters.
As I said at the beginning I still don’t know if I understood how we got to the end, I don’t know if they went too far and for this reason I was confused and looking for answers in my memory after I finished watching the movie or maybe I need to watch it a second time.
To conclude, I can’t say if I liked it or not. There are scenes where as a fan of romantic movies I felt in love to see Alex trying to find a way to get closer to Kate (the one who didn’t know who he was) or to see Kate worried about Alex and saving his life (this was the part I didn’t understand).
