Ballerina. A movie about dreams.

Review by @breili · 3073d · of Ballet dancer

Leap! or ballerina as it is also known is released in 2016, in Europe and the United States, it is an animated children's production set in the city of Paris during 1879 with the Eiffel Tower still under construction. It is a family movie that tells a story of adventures and passion for the performing arts.

He received multiple awards in his continent of origin but in Latin America was little known, which is unfortunate because it is a true work of art, both in animation and in argument is a jewel of animated film.

It tells the story of two orphaned children, Felicia (voice of Elle Fanning) and Victor (voice of Dane DeHaan). Best friends who, from an orphanage in Brittany, dream of achieving great personal goals.

The only memory Felicia has of her mother is a musical box with a beautiful rotating dancer, growing up watching her spin to the beat of a beautiful melody makes her dream of being a ballet dancer. For his part Victor has great skills to repair all kinds of mechanical objects and wants to be an inventor, together they decide to escape to Paris to fight for the fulfillment of their goals.

When they arrive to the city they separate, Victor fortunately obtains a job in workshop of the then unknown Gustave Eiffel. Without knowing, he is working on the Eiffel Tower building project.

Felicia manages to reach the beautiful theater of the Paris Opera, it is the first time she is on stage and she sees real dancers. Each turn, each jump for her is like being in a dream. When she is discovered in the opera, they take her out of the stage and take to the street, but this does not stop her, she soon finds a way to return to the theater.

In order to achieve the role of principal dancer in the Nutcracker, she will pass for a student of the Academy of Ballet of the Opera. Without having danced before, she will do everything possible to be the best dancer in Paris.

This film is an inspiring story for the whole family, with a message of overcoming and perseverance for the achievement of our dreams. The animations are sublime and pleasing to the eye.

How weird is it that I just watched this movie earlier today with my son! It's super cute and adorable and I love the meaning behind it! Plus the graphics and feature within the movie itself, rock! Have a great day, thanks for posting!
