It is an original production of Warner Bros. Pictures released in May 2017 in the United States, its director Guy Ritchie presents a story in the fantasy genre starring actor Charlie Hunnam who personifies an Arturo Bástate different from the classic story, develops in medieval times between kingdoms of ostentatious castles, knights and wizards who clash in a mythical war.
The story tells the dark origin of who would be King Arthur, an orphan boy raised in a brothel that grows to be a rather rough and robust criminal. Disregarding his noble origins, he goes to the call of the evil King Vortigern (interposed by Jude Law) to remove the legendary sword Excalibur from the stone, when he succeeds in extracting it means that he is the legitimate heir to the throne which triggers a war for the throne.

It is a battle where magic plays an important role, we can observe mythology, fable, legends, mythical creatures to giant size animals that fight for both sides. The magician is an emissary sent by Merlin to help Arthur to destroy Vortigern, his councils will be vital to remember his past, control his own anger and the sword Excalibur.

Personal appreciation
It is a dark version or if it can be called Gothic literary character, a violent man who gets the honor after facing first itself in an internal struggle and then go out face the war of men. The predominant colors in photography are the gray, silver and red of the stones, armor and the reflection of the sparks of fire. The natural landscapes are pleasant and the height shots look very real.

The scenes of war are set with rock which makes it an experience full of adrenaline and action, the whole soundtrack by the composer Daniel Pemberton is captivating and his concept perfectly communicates with the somber concept of the film. It has scenes in quick camera that caught my attention, I think they are a personal stamp of director and certainly very successful, we find them during battles and flash-back memories that evoke important memories or phrases.

The costumes were not impressive in my opinion what surprised me was the way they highlighted the physical beauty of the actors and actresses, the ladies looked beautiful as angels, their serene faces and long hair were very appropriate, the gentlemen looked strong and imposing what a medieval knight would look like.

From the beginning of the film we find scenes of action that keep the rhythm during its two hours, it catches the viewer from beginning to end, I recommend that you see this wonderful movie as soon as possible because it is expected to be the first of a six installment saga.
