Thor Ragnarok - film critic.

Thor Ragnarok is released in 2017 being the third installment of the Marvel Thor franchise, had the address of Taika Waititi, the new director known to have an Oscar nomination for his short film "Two cars, one night" (2004 ). This third stage of the Thor trilogy makes a lot of reference to the comic and important connections with other films of the Marvel cinematographic universe.

The plot is based on the arrival in Asgard of Hela the goddess of death, daughter of Odin who after many years returns to take the throne of his father and kill anyone who intends to prevent him, including his brothers Loki and Thor . It is ruthless, no one is able to stop it, its strength in combat surpasses anyone even that of the god of thunder who is imprisoned on another planet while Asgard falls under the rule of his sister.

The costumes are a little different from the previous films, it's modern and this time we can see the less ostentatious costume of Thor that makes him look fresh, renewed and more appropriate for the battle, the new style adopted in this installment rejuvenates his character in terms of style and presence. For its part, the costumes and styling of the goddess of death is visually stunning, making her look frightening, sensual and imposing.

The character Hela was very well developed because its origin is explained so that we can imagine how was his life in Asgard before leaving him and the reasons why he is not welcome in the kingdom of his father. The character Hulk had an outstanding participation where he could contribute much to the plot showing that he is a very important avenger, without a doubt this film gave him the opportunity to star and make the participation with more scenes made in a Marvel footage not his own.

This movie has an important load of comedy content, in many of the scenes the characters make funny comments about the situations they go through, as I have known many fans of the Marvel movie universe this has not pleased them, but in my case it is not So, as I mentioned before, it seems to me that in this film Thor is renewed giving a fresh look and attitude, where despite being in serious danger does not lose his optimism and sense of humor, maintaining the charisma that characterizes him.

The production design is beautiful, we already knew the beauty of Asgard and its bright pastel colors, but now we have other more colorful scenarios with an abundance of color and sparks like fireworks, the scenes that evoke memories of previous battles were the ones that They liked it, it presents a sublime photograph that seems to be taken from the most beautiful dream. The battles, although they have a dark concept, maintain bright elements in the context, such as ships, water, lightning, fire and the beautiful Asgard bridge, giving these scenarios colorful.

In my opinion for this film they took the formula used in Guardians of the Galaxy volume 2 in terms of humor, space travel, monsters as enemies, neon-colored posters, music of the eighties and in general a retro look. The change was drastic for the closing of the trilogy but represents an important evolution of Thor as a super hero, even knowing that we will continue to see his participation in other Marvel films, there is the essential to see this movie to understand future appearances of the thunder god.

To conclude, I define Thor Ragnarok as an entertaining action film with an important comedy charge that makes it funny, colorful and where the teamwork of the heroes is once again the key to beating their enemies. Visually pleasing and very different from the cold tones we saw in the first two installments, the incursion of new characters is positive and enriches the story, the chemistry of the characters offers us memorable performances that will transcend future productions. The fun is guaranteed and aims to attract more audiences to the Marvel Studios franchises.
