Wonder Woman

Review by @breili · 3222d · of Wonder Woman

"Wonder Woman" is a film released in 2017 by the film production company Warner Bros. Pictures and directed by Patty Jenkins. It was for many superhero fans it was the most anticipated production of the year to make up for the disappointments they have lately received in DC Comics creations. The Wonder Woman as part of the Justice League is a superheroine of the oldest and most iconic since its first appearance in 1941, where its success was attributed to the feminist movement that was booming. In the most recent years of our time the fantastic world of the comic has been dominated by well-worn and cinematologically overvalued male characters, Wonder Woman 2017 comes to refresh the movie screens and comic book fans.

It tells the story of Diana of Themyscira (personified by the actress Gal Gadot) warrior princess of the Amazons, we can see her from her childhood, her first training, marvel at the beauty of the island paradise and magical Amazons, her brotherhood, fortress and courage.

The central plot begins with the arrival on the island of Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) an injured spy pilot in the German army, when Diana learns that a cruel war is unfolding (World War I) decides to go to the front to fight against Ares, the god of war whom she thinks is behind the war conflict manipulating the will of the human being and promoting its own destruction.

Other data.

The bracelets he wears are made of fragments of the shield of Zeus. Gal Gadot was named Miss Israel in 2004 and participated in the Miss Universe contest that same year. This great actress also remember her for her character Gisele Yashar in the saga Fast and Furious.

Personal appreciation.

I am captivated by the innocence of the character, as he is discovering the world of man with astonishment and illusion, the security he has in himself, his strength and faith in humanity. In this film Hollywood removes the feminist label of the character and replaces it with a message of equality between men and women. It was very clever how they combined mythology with a historical event. Gal Gadot made the character his own, gave him his personal seal, in each scene is taken care of his image, made it look perfect.

final words

In the film they manage two photographs, one with vivid and bright colors that we can see in the scenes of Themyscira the island of the Amazons and one of gray tones to sepia that we can see in the scenes of war. No doubt we are looking forward to continue to see the adventures of Diana and soon we can enjoy it in the Justice League that is expected to be trained in November this year and the sequel to Wonder Woman that is scheduled to premiere in 2019.

I loved this movie. One of my favorite superhero movies of all time. By the way feminism is the equality between men and women so your post has a glaring mistake in it. Obviously, as a woman it holds a special place in my heart as it just made me realize how much I need to see a woman superhero done right in the lead role. It was amazing. No Man's Land is my favorite scene in any superhero movie by far.
