Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is an American television series from NBC about the "Special Victims Unit" in New York's fictional 16th district. Not that I ever had any kind of experience with any of that violence but the series and the way it tells the stories I like very much. Its real and yet far away from what I experience in life.
SVU is currently the most watched version of the Law & Order series and one of the most highly rewarded programs at NBC. In the Netherlands NET 5 broadcasts the series, and I miss it on the streaming services. I have two guilty pleasures , to be : law and order , preferably suv and Hawaï5O are favorites a and binge possibility would be great. Now I have to wait a week after an episode.
I am a great fan of the leading lady cop Mariska Hargitay. She is IT. I have been a fan for many years ever since it aired on tv here in Holland 🇳🇱. NBC announced in May 2011 that it will also air season 13, nowadays it’s still running and on to season 21. It was also announced that the role of Mariska Hargitay will be a supporting role. Christopher Meloni was leaving the series after 12 seasons. I say wrong move cause they were for me the dynamic duo. Mariska and Christopher are succeeded by Danny Pino, known from Cold Case, and Kelli Giddish, known from the television series Chase. Although Peter the district attorney is a great character aswell and I think he is so handsome aswell. And his ways remind me of the person I am married too. Mariska by the way never left and still is SVU if you ask me.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit has been following the New York Police Department for 21 seasons already , and dealing with special crimes. Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) again my favorite takes care of victims of sex crimes, or victims who struggle to survive in daily life, with the help of all kinds of experts. She has been a victim herself and has a purpose in life. Law & Order: SVU is currently the longest-running (prime time) series ever! The show will remain so until at least 2023, the American channel NBC reported.
Every day, the expertise of this great group of elite detectives in New York is put to the test. They must bring the perpetrators of sexually explicit crimes to justice. In addition, the detectives also have to manage their turbulent private lives. You get to watch the way they think, act , move and arrest. But thats not all after the arrest you see the court ways aswell. I like that because its so different from what we have here in Holland.

Hottie Phillip Winchester who played Peter Stone. Always great in court and very determined. And needed Afro the squad.
Peter Scanavino, the italian in the series plays Dominick Carisi.
ICE T plays Fin Tutuola.
Sargent Olivia Benson the leading lady played by Mariska Hargitay.
Detective Amanda Rollins played by Kelli Giddish
