Hello movie and TV loving community, I hope you are very well, I just watched "Black Crab", the new war movie available on Netflix that I really liked and I want to comment here my experience, without further introduction here I go:
Swedish origin movie that takes place during a conflict in Europe, directed by Adam Berg and starring Noomi Rapace, whose recent premiere on Neflix was last March 18. A war movie, unconventional, very well filmed with a raw and reflective message.
The first positive point of this film is that it goes straight to the point without wasting time in long planning or explanatory dialogues, the director set a goal and goes straight to that. The conflict takes place in Europe, it is not clear who is involved, they do not put a face to a villain, they do not establish blame or impose heroes. We don't know what year it is and none of this is necessary for the strong message it leaves the viewer with.
Hola comunidad amante del cine y la TV, espero que estén muy bien, acabo de ver “Black Crab”, la nueva película belica disponible en Netflix y les quiero comentar aquí mi experiencia:
Película de origen sueco que se desarrolla durante un conflicto en Europa, dirigida por Adam Berg y protagonizada por Noomi Rapace, cuya reciente premier en Neflix fue el pasado 18 de marzo. Una película bélica, poco convencional, muy bien filmada con un mensaje crudo y reflexivo.
El primer punto positivo de esta película es que va directo al grano sin perder tiempo en largos planeamientos ni diálogos explicativo, el director se trazó un objetivo y va directamente a eso. El conflicto se desarrolla en Europa, no queda claro quiénes está involucrados, no le ponen cara a un villano, no establecen culpas ni imponen héroes. No sabemos qué año es y es que nada de esto hace falta para el mensaje contundente que deja al espectador.
Influences and roles:
THE film has a very between-the-lines language using more of the images and actions, and less of the explanatory dialogues and inspirational speeches. On this basis, it clearly presents all the factors involved in the war:
Common population: the one that in the past we have seen how it has been called by the "leaders of the world" as "collateral damage", the film shows how it is the most affected part, suffering, death, hunger and separation from loved ones. With the only desire for it all to end and return to normalcy. It is seen as a threat and even as a hindrance.
Military: A sector that also suffers a lot, chess pieces, most of them against their will must play the worst role in the war. Full of ideological sacrifices that are nothing more than facades for the pretensions of power of the next sector.
Privileged positions: They are those who hold the power, without a visible face, who create the conflicts, who can avoid them. They are the ones who give the orders and never suffer the consequences.

EL film tiene un lenguaje de muy entre líneas usando más las imágenes y las acciones, y menos los diálogos explicativos y los discursos inspiradores. Con esta base en forma clara y directa representa a todos los factores involucrados en la guerra:
Población común: A la que en el pasado hemos visto como ha sido llamada por los “líderes del mundo” como “daño colateral”, la película muestra como es la parte más afectada, sufrimiento, muerte, hambre y separación de los seres amados. Con el único deseo de que todo acabe y volver a la normalidad. Es vista como amenaza y hasta como estorbo.
Militares: Sector muy sufrido también, piezas de ajedrez, en su mayoría en contra su voluntad deben jugar el peor papel en la guerra. Lleno de sacrificios ideológicos que no son más que fachadas para las pretensiones de poder del siguiente sector.
Posiciones privilegiadas: Son los que ostentan el poder, sin rostro visible, quienes crean los conflictos, quienes pueden evitarlos. Son quienes dan las ordenes y nunca sufren las consecuencias.
The beginning of the story:
We see Caroline Edh (Noomi Rapace) with her daughter trapped in traffic, the situation is confusing, but the start of the conflict and chaos is clear, Gunshots ring out and some military men capture them. It continues with a time jump showing Caroline now as Private Edh, with scars on her face getting off a train where she is picked up by Lieutenant Nylund, we are given a small view of the destroyed city and the civilian population surviving the situation and we realize that a good amount of time has passed. The Lieutenant turns off the road and to the base leaving her alone in the vehicle. Here Edh is attacked by civilians, fights back and flees to reach the base alone. The action sequence is short but very well done, the setting and photography excellent, it shows a good product.
Once at the base she meets part of the group and meets with Colonel Raad and Captain Forsberg, who explains why they are there. The situation is that they are losing and as a last resort a very risky plan was devised Operation "black crab", with the promise of ending the war for good. For the first time in 37years the archipelago that connects much of the conflict zone is frozen, with the ice too weak to support a vehicle and too strong for a boat, but it can be crossed with ice skates. The mission is to cross the archipelago on ice skates, traversing 185kms behind enemy lines, to a research station to carry two capsules that promise to end the war. Because of the danger of the mission Edh is convinced when she is shown a picture of her daughter with the promise that she is at that destination and shows her. The team prepares and leaves before the scheduled time because they are under attack.
El inicio de la historia:
Vemos a Caroline Edh (Noomi Rapace) con su hija atrapada en el tráfico, la situación es confusa, pero está claro el inicio del conflicto y el caos, Suenan disparos y unos militares las capturan. Sigue con un salto en el tiempo mostrando a Caroline ahora como la soldado Edh, con cicatrices en su rostro bajando de un tren donde es recogida por el Teniente Nylund, nos dan una pequeña vista de la ciudad destruida y la población civil sobreviviendo a la situación y nos damos cuenta de que ha transcurrido un buen tiempo. El Teniente se desvía del camino y a la base dejándola sola en el vehículo. Aquí Edh es atacada por civiles, se defiende y huye para llegar sola a la base. La secuencia de acción es corta pero muy bien realizada, la ambientación y la fotografía excelente, se nota un buen producto.
Una vez estando en la base conoce a parte de grupo y se reúnen con el Colonel Raad y la Capitana Forsberg, quienes le explica para qué están allí. La situación es que están perdiendo y como último recurso se ideó un plan muy arriesgado Operación “cangrejo negro”, con la promesa de acabar definitivamente con la guerra. Por primera vez en 37años el archipiélago que conecta gran parte de la zona en conflicto está congelado, con el hielo muy débil para soportar un vehículo y muy fuerte para una embarcación, pero se puede cruzar con patines para hielo. La misión es cruzar el archipiélago con patines para hielo, atravesando 185kms tras las líneas enemigas, hasta una estación de investigación para llevar dos capsulas que prometen acabar con la guerra. Por lo peligroso de la misión Edh es convencida cuando le muestran una foto de su hija con la promesa de que ella se encuentra en ese destino y le muestra. El equipo se prepara y sale antes de la hora prevista por estar bajo ataque.
The mission begins with the journey full of very artistic images with stunning scenery, going through extreme and dangerous situations with excellent action sequences, the music is timely and very well carried helping the viewer to get into the situation, this supported by the performances up to the commitment with a plot that keeps you suspicious and theorizing about who may be a traitor in the team while we are getting to know them. It is very entertaining and visually appealing, the editing overall is very well conceived and I loved it. A very well written plot twist with a strong but very thoughtful denouement if you will.
This film proves that the work Netflix does giving opportunities to fresh and original ideas, can give excellent results when the projects fall into good hands. I think it is important to comment that I know that currently this topic is sensitive for a part of the population, but I think it is necessary to spread it and discuss it.
Comienza la misión con el viaje lleno de imágenes muy artísticas con escenarios imponentes, atravesando situaciones extremas y peligrosas con excelentes secuencias de acción, la música es oportuna muy bien llevada ayudando a que el espectador se meta en la situación, esto apoyado con las actuaciones a la altura del compromiso con una trama que te mantiene sospechando y teorizando sobre quién puede ser un traidor en el equipo al mismo tiempo que vamos conociéndolos. Es muy entretenida y atractiva visualmente, el montaje en general está muy bien concebido y a mí me ha encantado. Un giro de la trama muy bien escrito con un desenlace fuerte pero muy reflexivo si se quiere.
Este filme demuestra que el trabajo que hace Netflix dando oportunidades a ideas frescas y originales, puede dar excelente resultado cuando los proyectos caen en buenas manos. Creo importante comentar que sé que actualmente este tema es sensible para una parte de la población, pero creo que es necesario difundirlo y discutirlo.
In conclusion
Black Crab is a war action film that innovates with a narrative that goes to the point with what it wants to tell, where the great villain is the war and the hero are the people who were trapped in a conflict they did not want. A story that will touch the viewer due to the current world context we live in, I wish world leaders would understand the message that Black Crab brings between its lines. I highly recommend this movie, it has an enveloping atmosphere with imposing scenery, excellent action sequences, very entertaining and current. Personally I give it a 7.5/10.

En conclusión
Black Crab es una película de acción bélica que innova con una narrativa que va al grano con lo que quiere contar, donde el gran villano es la guerra y el héroe son las personas que quedaron atrapadas en un conflicto que no deseaban. Una historia que tocará al espectador debido al contexto mundial actual que vivimos, ojalá los líderes mundiales entendieran el mensaje que Black Crab trae entre sus líneas. Recomiendo mucho esta película, tiene una atmósfera envolvente con escenario imponentes, excelentes secuencias de acción, muy entretenida y actual. Personalmente la punteo con un 7.5/10.
