Hi dear Hivers of this community, today I want to make a recommendation about a mini-series that I loved: "The undoing".
"The undoing" is a 6 chapters mini-series, starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant, with the masterful participation of Donald Sutherland who together with Edgar Ramirez, shows us how the perfect life of the protagonists is transformed into a hard reality where the facts will revolve around a murder, which will be the gateway to the lies that hide their characters breaking that fragile bubble where they have lived for many years.

It shows a much discussed ambivalence in our times that relates a high economic and academic status as cloaks that hide from society cruel acts, psychopathies, overdeveloped egos and complete lack of empathy, which occur in the high elite much more often than one thinks.
"The Undoing" is based on the novel "You should have known" (2014) by Jean Hanff Korelitz, which was adapted to the small screen by television producer and screenwriter David Kelley, who has to his credit successful series such as L.A. Law, Doogie Howser, Picket Fences, Ally McBeal and the Emmy award-winning television miniseries (2017) Big Little Lies.
Yo disfruté de esta miniserie en un par de días ya que me atrapó por lo complejo de la psiquis de cada uno de sus personajes, en especial al ver cómo cada quien trata de priorizar aquellas cosas que no estarían dispuestos a perder por nada a tal punto de mentir, huir, matar y construir una verdad que permita ocultar aquellos actos guiados por el instinto básico de ¡sobrevivir a costa de lo que sea!. Sin duda una producción que te mantendrá en vilo a medida que se desarrollan los acontecimientos, en especial porque estará en todo momento presente aquel dicho popular que reza: ¡en casa de herrero cuchillo de palo!, ya que hay cosas tan obvias que pasan despercibidas ante nuestros ojos ya sea porque son tan terribles que las queremos borrar o porque es mejor construir "una verdad alternativa" que nos permita vivir de forma más cómoda y disfrutar del pretigio, logros materiales, amistades, prefesiones y familia que constantemente presumimos.
I enjoyed this mini-series in a couple of days since I was trapped by the complexity of the psyche of each of its characters, especially when I saw how each one tries to prioritize those things that they would not be willing to lose for anything to the point of lying, running away, killing and building a truth that allows them to hide those acts guided by the basic instinct of surviving at the cost of anything! Without a doubt, this is a production that will keep you on tenterhooks as events unfold, especially since the popular saying will be present at all times: in the house of a blacksmith's knife, since there are things so obvious that they pass unnoticed before our eyes, either because they are so terrible that we want to erase them or because it is better to build "an alternative truth" that allows us to live more comfortably and enjoy the prestige, material achievements, friendships, professions and family that we constantly assume.
