"The Undoing" (PL title "Od Nowa") is a mini-series produced by HBO. It is an adaptation of a book by Jean Hanff Korelitzpt. "You didn't want to know." To sum up in one sentence - if you are a woman (or a man, although I think this series is aimed mainly at the more beautiful sex) and you like drama series, thriller or just works in the atmosphere of "Gone Girl", then you really want to I recommend. 6 episodes last less than 6 hours, so you can watch it on Friday night and finish it on Saturday morning or evening.
The plot is about a wealthy family from New York. Grace (Nicole Kidman) works as a relationship therapist and her loving husband (Hugh Grant) is an oncologist treating children who lost the gene lottery almost right from the start. Together, they have a young son who attends an elite school in NY, sponsored by Grace's father (Donald Sutherland). Each of them is successful and it would seem that the idyllic life will soon take off for good. Unfortunately, one day their lives turned upside down. It started when Elena - a young, very sexy woman - started to approach Grace. Seemingly for no reason, just like that, she wanted to innocently talk, meet new friends, so that she would not get bored with her son at school, but you don't have to be a careful observer to feel that something is wrong. It turned out that a little later Elena fell victim to a brutal murder - her head was crushed with a hammer (for comparison - comparable to Prince Oberyn in "Game of Thrones"), and her husband begins to act strangely suspicious. The next day, Grace is visited by two detectives and ... I won't reveal the rest. The plot is ambiguous and there are reasonable arguments that the prime suspect is not necessarily the perpetrator of a brutal murder.
As you can see, the series has a star cast. I have known each of these actors since I was a child and although they do not belong to the 1st league at present (and Donald probably never belonged to it), they are still talented people who do their job well. You can immediately see the difference in the acting craft between them and actors who are just building their brand by appearing in TV series or streaming. This is a completely different league - they show emotions less well, do not have such rich facial expressions and experience. Don't get me wrong - I don't complain about them, nobody was a master in their profession after one or two years of work. It's just that a series with actors like this is much more fun. Especially when it is a mini-series - one with a tight plot, in which there are no threads leading to anything or fillers taking up space on the plate, such as excess potatoes or rice. Here we have only meat.
The series did not make a huge impression on me, but I liked it the most. The plot keeps you in suspense for most of the screening, Donald Sutherland plays the character I love to watch on TV or the cinema - a nasty dick who, if he wants to, can do a lot of harm to the person who pissed him off. I also liked the advocate of the heroes - the Lady has big balls, a strong character, she is not stupid, she has no idiotic approach to life, but she knows that her own (and family's) happiness, life and money counts. The rest of the actors played well, but these four got my special attention. As for me, it deserves 8/10 - it's a good craft job in every way, but I missed something. Nevertheless, it is worth watching, regardless of age.
"The Undoing" (PL tytuł "Od nowa") to mini-serial wyprodukowany przez HBO. Jest to adaptacja książki autorstwa Jean Hanff Korelitzpt. "Nie chciałaś wiedzieć". Podsumowując jednym zdaniem - jeśli jesteś kobietą (lub mężczyzną, aczkolwiek wydaje mi się, że ten serial jest raczej skierowany głównie do piękniejszej płci) i lubisz seriale z gatunku dramat, thriller lub po prostu dzieła w klimatach "Gone Girl", to bardzo Ci to polecam. 6 odcinków trwa mniej niż 6 godzin, więc spokojnie można go obejrzeć w piątek wieczorem i dokończyć w sobotę rano lub wieczorem.
Fabuła opowiada o bogatej rodzinie z Nowego Yorku. Grace (Nicole Kidman) pracuje jako terapeutka rozwiązująca problemy w związkach, a jej kochający mąż (Hugh Grant) jest onkologiem leczącym dzieci, które przegrały loterię genową niemal już na starcie. Razem mają małego synka, który uczęszcza do elitarnej szkoły w NY, sponsorowanej przez ojca Grace (Donald Sutherland). Każdy z nich odnosi sukcesy i wydawałoby się, że sielankowe życie niedługo rozkręci się na dobre. Niestety, pewnego dnia ich życie wywróciło się do góry nogami. Zaczęło się od tego, że do Grace zaczęła podchodzić Elena - młoda, bardzo seksowna kobieta. Niby bez przyczyny, ot tak chciała niewinnie pogadać, poznać nowe koleżanki, by jej się nie nudziło w szkole syna, ale nie trzeba być wnikliwym obserwatorem, by poczuć że coś jest nie tak. Okazało się, że nieco później Elena padła ofiarą brutalnego morderstwa - jej głowa została zmiażdżona młotkiem (dla porównania - porównywalnie u księcia Oberyna w "Game of Thrones"), a jej mąż zaczyna zachowywać się dziwnie podejrzanie. Następnego dnia Grace zostaje odwiedzona przez dwójkę detektywów i... Reszty nie zdradzę. Fabuła nie jest jednoznaczna i są sensowne argumenty za tym, że niekoniecznie główny podejrzany jest sprawcą brutalnego morderstwa.
Jak sami widzicie, serial ma gwiazdorską obsadę. Od dziecka znam każdego z tych aktorów i choć obecnie nie należą do 1 ligi (a Donald chyba nigdy do niej nie należał), to nadal są utalentowanymi ludźmi, którzy dobrze wykonują swoją robotę. Odrazu widać różnicę w aktorskim rzemiośle między nimi, a aktorami którzy dopiero budują swoją markę występując w serialach do telewizji lub na streaming. To zupełnie inna liga - słabiej przedstawiają emocje, nie mają takiej bogatej mimiki i doświadczenia. Nie zrozumcie mnie źle - nie narzekam na nich, nikt nie był mistrzem w swoim zawodzie po roku, czy 2 latach pracy. Po prostu serial z takimi aktorami jest o wiele większą przyjemnością. Zwłaszcza, kiedy jest to mini-serial - taki ze zwartą fabułą, w którym nie ma wątków prowadzących do niczego lub fillerów zajmujących miejsce na talerzu, jak nadmiar ziemniaków, czy ryżu. Tutaj mamy samo mięso.
Serial co prawda nie zrobił na mnie olbrzymiego wrażenia, ale jak najbardziej podobał mi się. Fabuła trzyma w napięciu przez większość seansu, Donald Sutherland gra taką postać, jakie uwielbiam oglądać w telewizji lub kinie - wrednego kutasa, który jak zechce, to może zrobić dużą krzywdę osobie, która go wkurzyła. Bardzo też polubiłem adwokata bohaterów - Pani ma duże jaja, mocny charakter, nie jest głupia, nie ma idiotycznego podejścia do życia, tylko wie że liczy się jej własne (oraz rodziny) szczęście, życie i pieniądze. Reszta aktorów zagrała dobrze, ale ta czwórka zdobyła moją szczególną uwagę. Jak dla mnie zasługuje na 8/10 - pod każdym względem jest to dobra, rzemieślnicza robota, ale zabrakło mi czegoś. Tym niemniej warto obejrzeć, niezależnie od wieku.

El día de hoy quiero traer por estos lados una miniserie que vi a principios de año y que por razones que desconozco nunca le hice una reseña considerando que me gustó bastante. Es de esas series que no sabes mucho que esperar pero que con solo ver el reparto que se gasta puedes inferir que por lo menos buenas actuaciones tendrá, que de hecho las tiene.Today I want to bring to you a miniseries that I saw earlier this year and that for reasons I don't know I never did a review considering that I liked it a lot. It is one of those series that you don't know what to expect but just by looking at the cast you can infer that at least it will have good performances, which in fact it does.
Hablamos de actores y actrices de la talla de Nicole Kidman, Hugh Grant, Donald Sutherland, Matilda de Angelis (quien fue una revelación) y el venezolano Edgar Ramírez. Es un drama con toques de suspenso psicológico bastante complejo donde nos enseña que no siempre las personas son lo que pensamos y es que nunca se termina de conocer a la gente sin importar el grado, tipo y tiempo de relación que se tenga. Veamos un poco de que va:We are talking about actors and actresses such as Nicole Kidman, Hugh Grant, Donald Sutherland, Matilda de Angelis (who was a revelation) and the Venezuelan Edgar Ramirez. Creo que lo primero que habría que decir es que es una serie que mantiene el suspenso e intriga de principio a fin porque es capaz de mantener la tensión en el espectador sobre la pregunta que todos se van a hacer cuando vean el primer capitulo: Quien puede ser el asesino?... - una respuesta que claramente la conocerán al final. En cuanto a los personajes tenemos a Elena (Matilda de Angelis) quien es el personaje detonante de esta historia con una mezcla de mucho misterio, provocación sexual y hasta vulnerabilidad que la verdad son emociones y rasgos muy complicados de lograr. Grace y Jonathan (Kidman y Grant respectivamente), la verdad es que son personajes bastantes normales, ella un poco más emocional, él un poco más frío y con carácter. Creo que el hijo, Henry, si se ha gastado unas buenas tomas y actuaciones para ser sincero.As for the characters we have Elena (Matilda de Angelis) who is the trigger character of this story with a mixture of mystery, sexual provocation and even vulnerability that are very complicated emotions and traits to achieve. The Undoing è riuscita a costruire un thriller molto ben riuscito, abbinando fattori molto canonici ma elevando tutto ad un livello molto alto, dalle interpretazioni all'evoluzione dei personaggi, dalla coerenza narrativa alla capacità di sorprendere il pubblico con tasselli sempre nuovi e misteriosi ma solidi rispetto alla trama orizzontale.Non è certo stata The Undoing ad inventare certi stratagemmi, e non è stata certo la serie di David E.Kelley la prima a portare sullo schermo una storia di questo tipo, resta, però, il fatto che lo abbia fatto benissimo, tenendoci incollati alla poltrona e impedendoci di distogliere lo sguardo.
Siamo talmente abituati a cercare l'originalità ed il guizzo creativo, autoriale, che oramai guardiamo quasi con spocchia prodotti ineccepibili come questo.
E allora la mente, più che a The Big Little Lies, va a La Regina Degli Scacchi, fenomeno televisivo dell'anno che ha fatto della consistenza e della perfezione narrativa, più che dell'originalità creativa, la sua fortuna.
Vien da chiedersi allora, perchè dovremmo preferire quella perfezione a questa?

The Undoing ha conseguido construir un thriller muy acertado, combinando factores muy canónicos pero elevando todo a un nivel muy alto, desde las interpretaciones a la evolución de los personajes, desde la coherencia narrativa a la capacidad de sorprender al público con nuevas y misteriosas pero sólidas piezas de la trama horizontal.
Desde luego, no fue The Undoing la que inventó ciertos trucos, y desde luego no fue la serie de David E. Kelley la primera en llevar a la pantalla una historia de este tipo, pero el hecho es que lo hizo muy bien, manteniéndonos pegados a la silla e impidiéndonos apartar la mirada.
Estamos tan acostumbrados a buscar la originalidad y el golpe creativo, de autor, que ahora casi miramos con rencor productos impecables como éste.
Y así la mente, más que a The Big Little Lies, va a La Reina del Ajedrez, fenómeno televisivo del año que ha hecho de la coherencia y la perfección narrativa, más que de la originalidad creativa, su fortuna.
Uno se pregunta, entonces, ¿por qué deberíamos preferir aquella perfección a ésta?

Ce n'est certainement pas The Undoing qui a inventé certains trucs, et ce n'est certainement pas la série de David E. Kelley qui a été la première à porter à l'écran une histoire de ce genre, mais il n'en reste pas moins qu'elle l'a très bien fait, nous maintenant rivés au fauteuil et nous empêchant de regarder ailleurs.
Nous sommes tellement habitués à rechercher l'originalité et la pichenette créative et auteuriste, que maintenant nous regardons presque avec dépit des produits impeccables comme celui-ci.
Et donc l'esprit, plus qu'à The Big Little Lies, va à The Chess Queen, phénomène télévisuel de l'année qui a fait de la cohérence et de la perfection narrative, plus que de l'originalité créative, sa fortune.
On se demande alors pourquoi nous devrions préférer cette perfection à celle-ci ?

In soli 6 episodi The Undoing è cresciuta cosi tanto da scrollarsi di dosso un paragone che era venuto naturale a chiunque avesse visto la serie HBO con Zoe Kravitz, Reese Whiterspoon, Laura Dern e Nicole Kidman fra le altre.Può sembrare poco ma poco non è.
Un conto è presentarsi al mondo come qualcosa di nuovo, fresco e frizzante e rimaner se stessi, altro paio di maniche è uscire allo scoperto e sentirsi dire da tutti che si, sai il fatto tuo ma somigli troppo a quell'altra serie li e poi riuscire nei 5 episodi successivi a tornar da loro con aria tronfia e soddisfatta per riscuotere tutti gli applausi e i sorrisetti di questo mondo, consapevole di aver fatto il massimo per diventare un prodotto figlio di qualcuno ma emancipatissimo e indipendente fino al midollo.
The Undoing, sintetizzando all'estremo, è esattamente questo, ovvero il figlio diligente e intelligente capace di andar via di casa a 18 anni e costruire la sua vita in totale autonomia senza dimenticare le proprie radici.
Per i pochi che non lo sapessero, The Undoing non è uno spinoff, un sequel o un prequel di The Big Little Lies. Le 2 serie non c'entrano nulla l'un con l'altra a livello narrativo. A livello di stile e di approccio, invece, sono 2 sorelle gemelle, o quantomeno parenti stretti.
Nella serie di Jean Marc Valleè sul proscenio vi erano donne ricche e agiate, che si muovevano con i loro drammi personali e familiari all'interno di una cornice borghese, quasi aristocratica se volessimo ricondurre tutto ad una dimensione prettamente economica e di benessere. Idem in The Undoing. Abbandoniamo l'assolata California e ci dirigiamo nella fredda e frenetica New York. Aldilà di questo, nulla sembrava essere differente rispetto a The Big Little Lies. Scuole di prestigio a cui iscrivere i propri figli, appartamento di assoluto livello, moglie e marito molto impegnati socialmente nelle classiche serate di gala non per comuni mortali, e via discorrendo.
Questa ambientazione e collocazione sociale, metteva The Undoing nella categoria di quelle serie che non vogliono raccontare le persone comuni ma le persone che comuni, almeno socialmente ed economicamente, proprio non lo sono. Questo però, almeno per The Undoing, non ha significato allontanarsi da quella che poi è stata una storia che se comune non è, quantomeno si è avvicinata agli standard di un drama giudiziario come ne abbiamo visti tanti.
Questo mix, unito all'ottima evoluzione dei personaggi, alle eccellenti interpretazioni e al mistero dietro gli svelamenti e le zone d'ombra che si sono susseguite nei 6 episodi della serie, hanno reso The Undoing un prodotto eccellente.

In just 6 episodes The Undoing has grown so much to shake off a comparison that came naturally to anyone who had seen the HBO series with Zoe Kravitz, Reese Whiterspoon, Laura Dern and Nicole Kidman among others.
It may not sound like much, but it isn't.
It's one thing to present yourself to the world as something new, fresh and sparkling and remain yourself, it's another thing to come out and be told by everyone that yes, you know what you're doing but you look too much like that other series there and then be able in the next 5 episodes to go back to them with a satisfied and satisfied air to receive all the applause and smiles of this world, aware of having done everything possible to become a product son of someone but emancipated and independent to the bone.
The Undoing, summarizing to the extreme, is exactly that, the diligent and intelligent son able to leave home at 18 and build his life in total autonomy without forgetting his roots.
For the few who don't know, The Undoing is not a spinoff, sequel or prequel to The Big Little Lies. The 2 series have nothing to do with each other on a narrative level. On the level of style and approach, however, they are 2 twin sisters, or at least close relatives.
In Jean Marc Valleè's series, on the proscenium there were rich and wealthy women, who moved with their personal and family dramas within a bourgeois framework, almost aristocratic if we wanted to bring everything back to a purely economic and wealthy dimension. En sólo 6 episodios The Undoing ha crecido tanto como para sacudirse una comparación que resultaba natural para cualquiera que hubiera visto la serie de HBO protagonizada por Zoe Kravitz, Reese Whiterspoon, Laura Dern y Nicole Kidman entre otros.
Puede parecer poco, pero no lo es.
Una cosa es presentarte al mundo como algo nuevo, fresco y chispeante y seguir siendo tú mismo, y otra cosa es salir y que todo el mundo te diga que sí, que sabes lo que haces pero que te pareces demasiado a esa otra serie de ahí y luego poder en los siguientes 5 episodios volver a ellos con un aire de orgullo y satisfacción para recibir todos los aplausos y sonrisas de este mundo, consciente de haber hecho todo lo posible por convertirse en un producto hijo de alguien pero emancipado e independiente hasta los huesos.
The Undoing, resumiendo al extremo, es exactamente eso, el hijo diligente e inteligente capaz de salir de casa a los 18 años y construir su vida en total autonomía sin olvidar sus raíces.
Para los pocos que no lo sepan, The Undoing no es un spinoff, una secuela o una precuela de The Big Little Lies. Las dos series no tienen nada que ver a nivel narrativo. Sin embargo, en términos de estilo y enfoque, son dos hermanas gemelas, o al menos parientes cercanas.

C'est une chose de se présenter au monde comme quelque chose de nouveau, de frais et de pétillant et de rester soi-même, c'est une autre chose de sortir et de se faire dire par tout le monde que oui, tu sais ce que tu fais mais tu ressembles trop à cette autre série là et de pouvoir ensuite dans les 5 épisodes suivants y retourner avec un air de fierté et de satisfaction pour recevoir tous les applaudissements et les sourires de ce monde, conscient d'avoir tout fait pour devenir un produit fils de quelqu'un mais émancipé et indépendant jusqu'à l'os.
The Undoing, en résumant à l'extrême, est exactement cela, le fils diligent et intelligent capable de quitter la maison à 18 ans et de construire sa vie en toute autonomie sans oublier ses racines.
Pour les rares personnes qui l'ignorent, The Undoing n'est pas un spinoff, une suite ou un prequel de Big Little Lies. Les 2 séries n'ont rien à voir l'une avec l'autre sur le plan narratif. En termes de style et d'approche, cependant, ce sont deux sœurs jumelles, ou du moins des parents proches.

Cependant, cela ne signifiait pas, du moins pour The Undoing, qu'il fallait s'éloigner de ce qui était alors une histoire qui, si elle n'était pas ordinaire, s'approchait au moins des normes d'un drame judiciaire comme on en a vu tant.
Ce mélange, combiné à l'excellente évolution des personnages, aux excellentes performances et au mystère qui se cache derrière les démêlés et les zones d'ombre qui se succèdent dans les 6 épisodes de la série, a fait de The Undoing un excellent produit.

Forse, infatti, la nota più positiva è stata quella di aver assistito ad una bella e inusuale performance dell'attore britannico. Abbandonati i panni del belloccio che fa innamorare qualsiasi donna gli capiti a tiro, Grant ha vestito quelli dell'oncologo belloccio che fa innamorare qualsiasi donna gli capiti a tiro ma sul quale pende un'accusa di omicidio e tante altre cose disdicevoli, dal tradimento alla sociopatia spinta, manco fosse il nuovo Charles Manson.
Se nel primo episodio si aveva come l'impressione che Hugh Grant fosse lì solo per fare da complemento di arredo, nel corso della serie l'attore ha saputo conferire magnetismo e mistero ad un personaggio veramente indecifrabile ed enigmatico.
Hugh Grant interpreta Jonhatan Fraser, marito della dottoressa Fraser (Nicole Kidman), stimatissimo oncologo pediatrico, rispettatissimo dalla comunità, affascinante, amorevole, padre e marito devoto.
La morte di Elena Rodriguez getta la comunità nel panico. La donna è stata massacrata con un martello.
Le indagini porteranno ad avere un unico sospettato: Johnatan Fraser.

HBO's latest murder mystery series ended up this past Sunday and it met my expectations. The series has Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant as its main actress/actor along with several secondary characters played by very popular actors as well.
The story is about this mature couple with a teenage son, they are both successful professionals and everything appears to be going good in that family home. Things begin to undo when another woman is found dead in the night when they both attended a school fundraiser. This other woman was also at the fundraiser given the fact her son also attends the same school.
The thing with this other woman is that in the days prior to this fundraiser she has been behaving a bit strange when interacting with Kidman's character. She stared at her, exposed herself naked at the gym, and had other inappropriate behaviors that could make anyone feel very puzzled.
What happens later will completely change the life of this apparently happy and healthy family. The performance from the cast was acceptable but none of the popular actors/actresses provided a groundbreaking performance. They were just OK in their roles. I don't felt as if these characters were meant to be played by this cast, but it kind of worked out in the end. I mention this because sometimes there are characters that are so appropriately portrayed that is hard to imagine them being portrayed by a different actor/actress. Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern's characters in Big Little Lies are a good example of this.
Regarding the twists and surprises, there were a lot of them, which is to be expected from every murder mystery. Every single one of the episodes will provide new important information that will sometimes cause the viewer to begin to suspect about new characters, no matter how ludicrous the suspicion might see in retrospective.
If you enjoy a good murder mystery drama then I recommend checking this series out. It is not the best murder mystery from HBO but it is good enough and well worth the watch.
The best
- It has gripping moments.
- The show encourages the viewer to suspect about several characters besides the obvious one.
The worst
- It wasn't as good as other similar shows from HBO such as Big Little Lies and Sharp Objects.
- Kidman's fake cheekbones are noticeable. Especially when comparing her to how she looked in Big Little Lies. This is annoying because there are a lot of scenes just showing her face.

Elena non condivide le radici aristocratiche dei Fraser e dei loro amici.
Suo figlio condivide la scuola con i figli delle nuove amiche ma non ne condivide il percorso.
L'accesso ad una delle scuole più prestigiose della grande mela viene lui garantito da una borsa di studio e non dall'elargizione di 50000 dollari di retta.
Elena è un corpo amorfo dal contesto, un oggetto misterioso, una bambola di porcellana appoggiata in un armadio pieno di barbie.
Le scene principali del primo episodio sono tutte per lei.
L'attrice italiana attrae gli altri protagonisti cosi come riesce ad attirare magneticamente noi spettatori.
Incuriosisce.
Corteggia.
Si fa desiderare. E' sensuale nella sua capacità di attrarci dentro la storia.
Scoprire, a fine episodio, che Elena è interpretata dalla nostra Matilde De Angelis crea un certo imbarazzo per non averlo capito prima ma anche un'enorme emozione nel realizzare che quell'attrice, magari poco conosciuta, sia stata capace di reggere il confronto con interpreti ben più note e navigate di lei.
Ritornando allo show, e concludendo questo post di "First Impressions" su The Undoing, non si può che essere convinti del pilot e speranzosi del futuro, consci che non siamo di fronte a Breaking Bad o The Sopranos, ma di non essere neppure dalle parti di Curon o Luna Nera ovvero delle totali perdite di tempo.
Il debito verso a Big Little Lies è evidentissimo e la serie dovrà essere brava ad uscire da questa bolla, emancipandosi da questo, seppur lusinghiero, paragone ed evidenziare una sua identità.
Al momento, proprio come Elena, The Undoing attrae e non respinge, incuriosisce e non stanca, si lascia guardare e non inorridisce.

10/15 Anni fa sareste corsi al cinema a vedere un film con questi 3 protagonisti?
Direi proprio di si.
Oggi potete goderveli comodamente sul divano di casa vostra, sgranocchiando popcorn e sorseggiando una birretta fredda (o "inzuppando" dei ritornelli nel vostro thè caldo; fate vobis), grazie ad HBOMax, grazie al livello assurdo a cui è arrivata la serialità contemporanea.
Nicole Kidman e Hugh Grant interpretano i coniugi Fraser. Coniugi della New York Bene diremmo da noi.
Lei una stimata psiscologa, gentile e ben educata, molto presente nel "glamour" newyorchese ma abbastanza timida e riservata da non dare nell'occhio.
Lui un rispettabile oncologo, innamorato della moglie e dotato di un'ironia tutta britannica.
Una coppia perfetta, perfetta davvero.
New York sullo sfondo, dinamiche alla Big Little Lies con tante donne benestanti che si dividono fra carriera, figli, serate di gala, raccolte fondi e poi una variabile impazzita.
E poi c'è Elena.
E qui facciamo una pausa, un respiro, chiudiamo gli occhi e riflettiamo sul clamoroso 2020 della serialità italiana.
I May Destroy You e Ostia, The Great e la reggia di Caserta, Fargo e Salvatore Esposito, Sorrentino e The New Pope, Petra e L'amica Geniale, Marcello Fonte e I Know This Much is true, Normal People e la Toscana, We Are Who We Are e Luca Guadagnino.
Aprite gli occhi.
Spero di avervi fatto ripercorrere in poche righe 10 mesi di serialità tricolore. 10 mesi in cui l'Italia ha dimostrato di avere mille qualità e mille assi nella manica.
Bene.
Aggiungete ora un nome: Matilde De Angelis.
Tenetelo a mente perchè dopo The Undoing non lo dimenticherete più.
E' lei ad interpretare Elena, è lei ad essere la vera protagonista del primo episodio.
Altro che Nicole Kidman, altro che Hugh Grant. Chi lo avrebbe mai detto.
Tutti sono stati offuscati da questa donna del mistero, apparsa improvvisamente nelle vite degli altri.

Lo sapevo.
I knew It.
HBOMax non poteva essere quella che ci aveva mostrato Love Life.
Dopo il riscatto avvenuto con lo splendido Raised By Wolves firmato da Ridley Scott, c'era molta curiosità rispetto al terzo prodotto erogato dalla piattaforma streaming di HBO. Su www.serialfiller.org vi ho parlato di entrambe e di entrambe vi ho esaltato punti forti e denotato punti deboli.
The Undoing era chiamato a confermarci se HBOMax fosse quella creaturina spaventata e incerta vista all'esordio primaverile oppure quella tigre bellissima, elegante e feroce vista poche settimane fa con Raised By Wolves.
Pochi giorni fa la serie tv partorita, prodotta e girata dalla coppia Susanne Bier - David E.Kelley ha visto la luce, ed ha irradiato ogni cosa.
Detta cosi sembrerebbe la serie dell'anno. Non lo è. Manco per sogno.
Ce ne sono tantissime di serie migliori di The Undoing.
E allora caro serialfiller perchè non la smetti di prenderci in giro e raccontarci balle?
Perchè The Undoing è una serie abbastanza classica, poco originale, anzi per nulla originale, a tratti banale ma che riesce ad essere intrigante, sinuosa, thrillerosa, psicologicamente sottile e tutta da scoprire.
Il merito?
Un grandissimo cast in primis. ma anche un ottima capacità di dosare gli elementi che vengono sparsi delicatamente lungo il primo episodio, come petali di rosa sul pavimento.
